Not a bad deal, the £75k bonus got me to drop an extra £9 on my pledge (Still deciding on Attilas or the Immortal) and grabbed me enough in extra credit to spring for another box of troops (Machinators here I come).

I was already doing pretty well on this one (I mean, the stuff I am in for is £143 before I even add in the exorbitant shipping fees I tend to get when ordering) so I am on cloud nine with this addition. When I add the Grizzly and Eradicator on near the end of the month I will get a few more bucks to play with as well (enough to grab either the Immortal or Attila III's, depending on which one I grab now).

I'll probably also spring for a couple of conversion packs as well since it sounds like they are coming with quite a bit more than we thought (i.e. more than just one weapon swap for heavies and specials). And with an extra few Attila coming my way I may want to swap some gear out.

I really want to get in on this but I'm waiting on seeing what the Capitol stuff is going to look like.

Had no clue about this until a few weeks ago when the movie was on tv.

When you say Attilas, do you mean the Armoured Chasseurs or the Cuirassiers or something completely different?

Boo about the book(s). ah well. I still get minis.

The Cuirassiers, the Attila III's are one of the more common Cuirassier types. Their full title is Attila III Cuirassiers (and I think Prodos has mentioned them as Attila types in a few places).

Ah, ok. I remember the Attila III being huge shouldered-simian faced monstrosities.

Love the new deal but was hoping the big announcement would be capitol art. I'm sure I'm with a lot of people who are waiting to see what the redesign will look like.

Yeah, the model was always just a little weird. It tried to go for the Bonner look but ended up kind of looking like a monkey with this flat, dumb expression plastered on its face. The Bonner art for it actually made it kind of look a little like a Mecha-razide (the same odd nose-bit) with a mouth (even holding its gun in the same manner). The Prodos version is more ABC Warrior which should be just fine, since the 2000AD aesthetic is pretty much the Mutant Chronicles aesthetic (Bisley was one of the more prolific artists for MC/Warzone after all).

I find that I actually like the new look a little more. The smiley mecha-razide never did it for me, and the original mini did even less for me. That said, there was some black and white art in the RPG sourcebook that had an Cuirassier that looks quite similar to the Prodos version (can't remember if it was specifically called an Attila III though).

At this point in the campaign, they ought to focus on Capitol, to bring more people into pledging by dangling the new shiny in our face. Maybe it's because of time zones, it's only been a few hours since we went past 75K. And the Campaign usually takes a few days, and a few dips, before reaching a new goal.

I agree with you. More factions = more potential to get new players. Kind of surprised Imperial and Mishima are not going to be stretch goals. Putting them at like 110k and 140k or something would have been cool.

The do say "Much, much more" after the 100K goals. With the triffling speed of this one, it might not happen, but now that WWX is over, we might see more traffic coming this way.

Considering that Cap only appears at £80k, it would have to be a pretty hefty amount to fund Mishima and Imperial fully. Probably better to get the game to market and then use that money to fund the final factions.

Taking in to account the expected end run this thing will likely hit £100k, but not too much past (the end run should be pretty close to the opening day takes, so if we are sitting at £90k in the last week then it should come pretty quick).

And keep in mind that a downside to really successful Kickstarters is scope creep and the resulting delays that it brings. The higher a KS goes beyond expectations, the more it needs to do in order to satisfy people with stretch goals. The more that is added on the more work the company has to do. The more they have to do, the less likely it will be delivered on time (it is already a good idea that they were up front about Super Heavies not being ready until August; that is going to cost them a hell of a lot for shipping that stuff out though, since they are eating the cost of two separate international shipments rather than waiting for one in August).

So if Mishima and Imperial do fund, it will be in the last days anyways, and since Prodos wont actually start developing them until they are funded, the chances of them getting them out the door for launch are pretty low. As it is, Prodos have a lot on their plate to get done for release and even if Capitol funds, it may not be feasible to have them at launch.

Considering the time line on the project, I think they will be sitting pretty if they reach £100k and not much past. I find that delays tend to kick in hard core when a KS reaches the upper levels of its expectation and bowls passed them. That is when creators start grasping at random upgrades and have a better chance of biting off more than they can chew.

I would love to see the whole line rebooted in one go, but it is probably asking too much. Better that Prodos can focus on this stuff and pay Imperial and Mishima the full attention they deserve. That way they can do more than get a basic starter out for them. Then we can expect a starter, hero, a couple spare units and a super-heavy in each. That and I can let my wallet recover so that I can get some Mishima stuff to fill out my current collection.

Once this kickstarter is done, and the game is to market. I could see a follow up kickstarter for Imperal and Mishima, plus new units for the other factions that don't get done this time around.

I'm starting to like enough of the renders that I wish I could increase my pledge to Dark Legion, but I've spent too much and Arena Rex is where the majority of what's left will go. I would like to see the etoiles though.

That might be an idea. I wouldn't mind a new KS to launch Mishima and Imperial plus get some add-on units for the others.

'Course, some people really dislike second kickstarters as well (not that it seems to have slowed Zombicide Mk II ). So it may just be better to "go legit" after this and develop them out of pocket, the traditional way. They could probably make more money, quicker, by doing a straight pre-order than another Kickstarter (where they would have to wait until the end to access the funds).

I can see the upsides to doing both, myself. And I am always a sucker for a new Kickstarter. But Mishima and Imperial may be a good time to just go it on their own and use the profits of this KS (whatever may exist from them) alongside the pre-orders from the post KS push to fund the next wave.

I'm also going to throw out their, from what I understand their is a bunch of sub-factions for Dark Legion that could still be done also. Right now we got Algeroth and his crew.

But their is still Ilian, Demnogonis, Muwijhe, and Semai that can be adressed and expanded upon in a future kickstarter. A Kickstarter also helps ensure more plastic releases witch is only a good thing for this game.

(Also let's face it. Heretic Legionnaires and Screaming Legionnaires in plastic would be pretty appealing as alternative for chaos cultists fin 40k. Not that I'm saying they should designe them with this in mind. Just that they could make a suitable stand in due to their nature.)

I know some people are weary of the 2nd kickstarter. But if they put one up about a year from now after the goals of this one has been met, I would think that would be acceptable.

Once the core range is completed thow, I would expect them to start trying to move foreword under their own steam.

Isn't the rule book and the background book the same book?

Wow, go away for a week and look what you miss. Despite wanting to wait for Capital and hoping for a glimpse of Imperial(used to have a huge army of Imps, we are talking full Trencher platoons, almost two squads each of their special forces guys, multiple Hurricane walkers, jet pack dudes....) the newer pics of Cyber have me moving that direction. I prefer Dr Diana as a cute mousy chick but I guess leaving the backpack off will help in that respect. Those Chasseurs are awesome looking. Time for some Capital pics!

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

And more importantly, they mesh well with the basic Chasseurs.

See, more and more, the process is getting streamlined. They're finding their groove.

Hmm, interesting, they went with the classic weapons on these guys. I wonder if the Machinators and Chasseurs are seeing an update as well?

And I really like this. The weapondesign was one of the major points that made me pick cybertronic back in the old days and I was a little bit disappointed to see the (normal) chasseurs with those bulky stormrifles or whatever they are. But those minis are absolute great. Loved them on first sight and the old weapondesign is the sugarcoat on the cake.

Prodos please please please stay with it. If the guy in the middle is carrying a rocketlauncher I'm fine with it, but if this is supposed to be the LMG the barrel should be thinner. Looking at the old artwork it could be both.
Is there any chance we get normal chasseurs with those stormrifles?

I just want to point out their is 1337 comments on the kickstarter page ATM.
That put a smile on my face.
=)

In other new only 3k out from capitol.

Now the only question I have left is... How to spend my Dark Legion level? Do I want Bauhaus and Dark Legion, Bauhaus and Capitol, or do I just want a really big Bauhaus army. lol
XD
