Still nothing here. But then Japan is far, really far, further than Nero it seems sometimes

Unless somehow Mr Kobe Bryant got a package addressed to me filled with WZ miniatures

Mine just arrived in the mail today. First impressions - a whole lot of flash, minimal mould lines, and the material is very easy to work with.

I'm quite impressed with the quality. I had a go assembling a necromutant squad with razhide, and almost everything went together without a lot of struggle. Only a couple of the necromutants with HMGs had arms that didn't align correctly, but nothing that couldn't be solved without hot water and a hair dryer.

Prodos certainly has my business if they can keep this quality up.

Yeah, I didn't even bother with hot water. I checked to see if I could bend the arms just enough to fit and they did. In retrospect, I guess I should've used hot water/hair dryer, but eh!

Sorry to get your hopes up. I got excited to see some bigger boxes on the porch when I got home today. My wife has been busy shopping online I guess :/ they werent for me.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

Nah, hot water isn't needed for smaller bends when working with this stuff.

The yield on this material has finally made attacking guns held with two hands easier to do. This is always the part I loathe about non-styrene minis. The second I need to juggle multiple arms plus a separately attached weapon, the green stuff is bound to fly at least a little.

But with my V-Rangers, I simply set the main-hand with the gun attached and then popped on the other arm and jimmied it the few millimetres needed to make contact with the gun. After the ordeal today of fitting the rifles on my Enforcers for Deadzone, it will be nice to go back to these again.

That said, I still ended up using green stuff with my Chasseur simply because it is hard to make a good looking bare-arm to bare-torso bond without it (and for the record, I ended up cutting all of the pegs off on them during assembly so they can definitely have a greater range of poses than originally thought when people were complaining about the square pegs being limiting).

Which reminds me, they recently popped up a preview of Mishima's new Tiger Dragons (one of the new units in the book and one of the classics ones from previous editions):

These guys were always my absolute favourite Mishiman unit (and one of my favourite WZ units to boot). Prodos did an excellent job with this render and it looks like it should translate well (looks like they took comments about using thicker blades on weapons to heart).

Overall, they are an excellent translation of the concept. They will be added to my planned Mishima power armour spear head force.

They look pretty damn cool. My only gripe is that I wish they'd gone with a more high-tech style helmet design. The old Hatamoto had pretty cool, sleek looking helmets, but their new designs and these guys both have very traditional looking headgear.

Speaking of, are these guys supposed to be a variant of the Hatamoto? They look very similar (to me anyway).

If I remember lore, Tiger Dragons were created solely to fight the Dark Legion and were more like fighting monks than the Hatamoto who were elite body guard samurai.

This stuff all looks so cool...

BUT, I'm going to:

1) Wait until all of this is readily available somewhere to buy

2) Wait until I actually find someone/a group of people to play this game with.

Because, at the end of the day, no matter how awesome everything looks, I do not need another game and set of miniatures to sit on the shelves in my basement!

The more archaic stylings are a pretty common trope for the Tiger Dragons. Though there isn't a ton of background on them the Bonner piece they were depicted in was definitely meant to evoke an anachronistic vibe. Even compared to the original Hatamoto and Samurai, they looked kind of old school. I think it helps set up weird visual dichotomies that help preserve that Meiji Restoration feel where you have clashes between traditional types and the new school.

As for the unit themselves, they are like a lot of Mishiman elites in that they wear power armour. But the similarities between them and Hatamoto stop there. These guys are a spear head of commandos and shock troops who infiltrate behind enemy lines and tear up. Don't have the rulebook nearby, but in general terms they are more heavily armed than Hatamoto and come with Rapid Deploy, making them a scary unit of shock troops that can use their flexibility to blitz the enemy lines.

At the end of the day, that's always the smart thing to do. I still regret going all in on a few war games that never took off with my group (Heavy Gear, Epic, etc.). I'm kind of lucky in that the rebirth of Warzone meant I had at least one regular opponent lined up. So going in on it was an easy choice for me.

But this is one where waiting for it to hit retail will be a good plan for those on the fence. At least by that point the basic rules PDF will likely drop and you'll have been able to proxy some test games with your group to see if its for you.

Speaking of waiting for retail, is there any word as to when this is going to be distributed to North American retailers? I know it may be a while yet, but I'm just curious since I like to make all my purchases through my FLGS. Really, really want some of these minis!

I'm starting to think like that. I supported the KS heartily but in hindsight I should have waited for the game to hit retail. After almost 1 year of hearing about the reboot I have nothing to show off for my money but more promises asking for patience, that my stuff is in the mail... What really angers me is that, even if we all knew that the miniatures would be delayed, at the very least once the book started going out PRODOS should have released a PDF of the final rules for all the KS supporters AS THEY SAID THEY WOULD. But all I got so far for my pledge is a bunch of other people posting their miniatures and their games on the facebook page, even people that bought their stuff from the store rather than supporting the KS and I can't even discuss the rules because I don't have the final version.

I understand that a small company cannot take the hit that involves hiring more people that you have budget for, but for a company that was surprised about how successful was their 1st KS and then managed another successful AvP KS, one would think that they would hire or at least ask some people for help to clear the WZ backlog by now. But apparently they can't.

I think I have been more than patient by now so I'm waiting till next Thursday to send a very pointed e-mail to PRODOS giving them a piece of my mind.

Well until 2 days ago I had absolutely the same feelings and thoughts, I really "disliked" all the shown minis because for me nothing had arrive.
My minis and the rulebook plus the cards have now arrived. I am right now digging thru the restic(?) pile. What I have seen so far is much to my liking.

The full pdf of the rules are indeed overdue and in retrospect I should have pledged less, since Prodos seems to have waited until all of my pledged minis are ready.
Was there a split shipment option?

Anyway the sheer amount of sculpts and minis they have produced within one year IS amazing.
So I really hope that all get their pledges soon!

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm giving them until Wednesday the 15th before I start harassing them again with emails.

I too would like some info about a North American distributor as at some point I'd like to get some Mishima figures and not have to pay through the nose in shipping and conversion costs.

Grrr still waiting as well. Starting to get a bit mad at the delay as well.

So they changed Tiger Dragon fluff to be generic commandos? That's sad, I like the old 1st ed background for them better. They even had special rules for countering Dark magic if I remember.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.

This stuff looks great - and from what I remember from watching the gameplay video, it seemed fun too.

I just wish that all of these various companies could keep communicating with everyone AFTER the KS campaign is done.

Even if it was a 50% or even 25% of what they did DURING the campaign...

Actually, Prodos were awesome at post-KS communications. Lots of shots of production minis, updates on how manufacture was proceeding and near the big crunch in shipping they were even posting postal codes they had sent out fairly regularly. I honestly wasn't expecting much extra communication out of them between the pre-holiday update and (truthfully) next week. Three weeks without an update right around the holidays when you are a company of three guys isn't exactly what I would characterize as any kind of breakdown in communication.

I figure we'll see something next week as I think most of them are back from vacation now. So Rob will have a chance to have dealt with whatever didn't make it out before Christmas and they may have updates on the various bits and bobs we're waiting on.

Hopefully everyone gets their stuff soon, I know it is hard being the last in line for something. But you folks have my sympathy. Good luck.

You are probably thinking about a different unit then. This is the 1st Edition fluff for Tiger Dragons:

Casualties of War wrote:The Mishima Tiger Dragon unit is comprised of tall, muscular, resilient members of the Mishiman armed forces. Experts at using their physical stature to their advantage in close combat, they are deployed on special sabotage missions behind enemy lines in the dense Venusian Jungle."

That was from 1st Edition Warzone in the Casualties of War supplement. 2nd Edition described them the same way (shock troops infiltrating enemy lines). Oddly, bucking the other editions, Ultimate Warzone turned them in to close combat beefcakes without the infiltration angle. So WZR is definitely following on from past descriptions of them.

You may be thinking of the Demon Hunters (which are also in the new book) which remain as they always were. A secret order of bad-asses clad in heavy armour and given enough firepower to kill any DL beasty. They get bonuses to resist the Dark Symmetry and are some nasty customers (and the new art for them looks great, but I've always loved quad-armed battle armour).

I would think you would generally want shorter guys in light armor as infiltrators, not big, burly meat men in heavy armor. Going by those renders, I'd say they're going more for the shock troop angle on them.

I guess you are right, its been awhile, ohh 17 years or so? hehe

Still waiting on my order......

OK, its the 15th, if its not sitting on my porch or more annoyingly if a note from the PO says to come drive all the way back into civilization to pick it up is not there, Prodos is going to get an angry letter and they had better have a good response starting with a tracking number.

Hmm worthy of a bump instead an edit.
Apparently Prodos read my last edit(jk, I am not that arrogant) and in the last part of the informative section they list almost as an afterthought they would be including tracking numbers from here on out.

Now to the real news, no my stuff didnt come in. They apparently took 2 weeks to realize they had a shipping issue and are having to remake and repackage everything and it will be resolved over the next two weeks. <yawn> I'll believe it when I see it. On the bright side they are including some new named figure who wasnt in the old books that I am aware of. Would Vince Diamond have been too hard to include....... or even Cyril Dent(I think that was his name)

oh well off to bring in my tropical plants before tonights freezing weather(ok its in the low 40s but thats freezing to us)

So
The update

Hi all,

We are very excited to be able to present you the Warzone Resurrection PDF rules as promised, as well as the Faction rules which will be uploaded tomorrow. These are available not only to our ever-faithful Kickstarter Backers, but to everyone, so that you guys can start showing your friends Warzone Resurrection!

Here is a link to the PDF of Warzone Resurrection rules:

http://warzonegame.com/images/wzrv1_1rules.pdf

Faction rules to follow tomorrow.

Now, let us move on to the subject of your Kickstarter Shipments.

Due to issues with our sub-contractor Courier, who were unable to ship by the 15th, we still have parcels in process. We will spare you the details of the issue, but suffice to say, we are all quite tense about it and would not be surprised if some of you received beautiful blue lace underwear (not shipped from us though, we swear!) instead of beautiful blue resin miniatures! However, the issue is sorted and we simply have to reissue the parcels and do our best to play catch up. We expect this workload to take our team roughly 2 weeks by simply focusing on this alone. It's no small task as every card and model that was lost must be remade, repacked and reshipped.

For those of you who have not received your first shipment by today, the 15th of January 2014, the cub-contractor has agreed to meet the cost of us including a free 2013/2014 Show only promotional figure 'Roberto Feltordo'. We will also be sending a tracking number to every one of you who has a shipment made from tomorrow and onwards.

As a personal gesture from Prodos Games LTD, the model will be available to everybody on this Kickstarter, but our only way to process this is with a order made on our Warzonegame.com website. You will need to email orders@warzonegame.com and request this special offer.
This offer will end at midnight GMT 31st April.

In other news, there is a new Facebook page that we are calling all fans of Warzone Resurrection and the Mutant Chronicles to join, run by Lord Inquisitor Hamilkar himself! Here is the link.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/357812617583537/

As always, our forum is continuing to run and we will support that as our official Prodos Games LTD Forum.

Finally, here is a render that many of you will have seen of the up and coming Tiger Dragons miniatures! The Tiger Dragon models are going to be available in our shop once all KS parcels are dispatched (first wave).

We are sure that you all have many questions regarding this update, so we will include some answers to your questions tomorrow. Rob will be answering emails for 5-6 hours tomorrow.

Well it took them a while to figure that out I guess, now do all we who have not received anything must go manually add it to our order? or will they add it themselves?

They way I understand them; those of you how are still waiting will receive on automatically for free, those of us who participated in the KS but have already received our orders will be able to order one.

And here's my massive 9 part review of WZR (and I seem to have promised a tenth part regarding the rules too, though people who ask me to comment on rules obviously haven't played me)

1 Dark Legion minis
2 Dark Legion cards
3 Brotherhood minis
4 Brotherhood cards
5 Bauhaus Minis
6 Bauhaus Cards
7 Misc Minis
8 Misc Cards
9 Rulebook (But you could check that one out for yourselves in the pdf)

Cool I'm so happy with the update that I'm going to explode in a big Rainbow of Joy...

The line above is sarcasm just in case you didn't get it and when I return from work today I'm going to give PRODOS a piece of my mind. Not that I think they'll care apparently if you point out how they were totally not prepared to deal with the success of the KS is because you want to scuttle the game.

BTW the 1st post in this thread by PRODOS was 02/02 almost one year ago. People that bought stuff after the KS already has it, according to PRODOS from the KS pledge of the shop/shops, I'm still waiting. Unless I get better explanations than the message above I can say one thing for sure, this is the last time I buy something directly from PRODOS. If I want something for WZ I'll either buy the old figures from Prince August or go third party.

Well, mine didn't show up today.

At least we did get this update. So, I'm not sure if I want to send them an email asking for an update or not. Sounds to me like they're not even sure where things are at the moment. So, I suppose I can be content to wait about a week, then see what kind of mood I'm in.

Getting another figure thrown in for free though is nice. At least it's something of an apology. Though, I think if I could choose to have a single item added in, I'd probably take some Mishima PA troops.

As I've said before, December/January is a horrible time for shipping things (or getting anything done in a good and timely manner). Sucks that their courier service bungled it but at least they worked something out with them and can move forward. And it isn't like shipping woes are unknown to the KS world (Mantic's fun adventure with Canadian customs, for example). This is just one of those hard to prepare for disasters and I doubt Prodos are any happier about it than those few fans still waiting on shipments.

In other news, at least the PDF finally dropped (and I can't wait to get faction stuff tomorrow... I am not a fan of building lists while keeping a book propped open).

Either way, I hope all the folks still waiting get sorted out. But in the meantime at least you can finally start play testing it. Good luck all.

I am glad for you Ronin (not being sarcastic) but from my PoV the PDF should have been released months ago. Not now and especially after the fracas with the courier. To me this looks like a ″We totally dropped the ball but hey! Take this crumbs and shut up.″too late and too few.
PRODOS should have been more forthcoming when they found they had a problem. Two weeks ago or so something was mentioned about packages not moving and I cannot but feel that they have been stonewalling us since then.
Now I'm supposed to wait two or whoknows how many weeks more in exchange of a free miniature? No, what I want is somebody to clearly explain what went wrong, and no "I'll spare you the details" does not count, and a timeline, a clear and transparent timeline mind you, of where do we stand and when I'll be getting my miniatures.

To be honest I am more relaxed about kickstarters, they have too many moving parts in too much quantity for things to go wrong.

What matters for me is when and how they fix things.

Yes, communication might have been better two weeks ago, but what can you communicate? you must first have a clear picture.
