Well I'm glad you view beauty so subjectively.

"Judge not lest ye be judged" amirite?

I love how everyone is so quick to jump on the wagon that this girl is mentally ill. Is it possible, just maybe, that your standards of living are different from someone about whom you know nothing about besides an internet article? Would you say the Thai tribe with women who elongate their necks, or the cultures that practice lip disks, or the Ainu that blackened their teeth, or any one of the myriad viewpoints of beauty outside of middle class, white, suburban Western culture are "crazy"?

Yes, because those examples are health risks, also social relativism doesn't work as it implies societies are infallible which is not true, I think what Nazis Germany did was very bad or that certain African societies that practice genital mutilation on women is also disgusting.

Wow way to Godwin a thread about tattoos.

Health risks? LOL plastic surgery for fake tits and steroids for huge muscles aren't a health risk?

And I fail to see the similarities between elective body art and forced genital mutilation. Please do explain.

I think the argument from social relativity might be one of the weakest. And yes, western medicine is typically considered less of a health risk than tribal body mutilations.

Get back to me after the inevitable follow up story when she wants to get it removed.

No gak Western medicine practices are safer than obsidian knives and gumption. And yet when those same practices are performed in sterile Western medicine equivalent areas they are just as safe.

I would love to hear you explain your theory that this is a sign of mental illness for this girl, without resorting to your standards of what is acceptable and or beautiful.

And there is no removal of a face tattoo like that. The skin is way too thin. That being said the artist did a great job with actual execution of the tattoo. Skin that tender is extremely hard to do so well.

Yeah, I may have gone way off topic all I'm saying is that every culture has a certain amount of crazy in it, now that I think about it my previous post doesn't have a whole lot to do with yours. That being said most notions of beauty are a product of the society you're raised in, so I'm probably

going to spend the rest of my life thinking that the most ideal body type (in terms of aesthetics) for a women is a slender or medium sized body with big boobs and ass so I'll most likely never be turned on by face tattoos or disc lips.

And that shows me how little you know of the actual working world. There's a lot of jobs out there where you're not selling a product face to face with the average American public. Not saying this girl is doing that, but there are a lot of options in the world besides retail sales.

You were the one that compared plastic surgery to neck and lip elongation, which leads me to believe that you aren't discussing this subject honestly, and that's with me giving you the benefit of the doubt.

And Cheese why is this "women is a slender or medium sized body with big boobs and ass" exclusive of face tattoos? Pretty sure the girl in the OP fits both bills. You wouldn't?

They're not comparable? How? They're not both body modification meant to increase ones sexual attractiveness?

And again Monster Rain I'd love to hear why you think a face tattoo is a sign of mental illness.

I agree, for the normal path of our lives this tattoo would be huge hindrance. All I'm saying is looking different doesn't necessarily stop someone from being successful. Not even getting into how different people define success. For some its a steady office job. For others it's different.

I mean it's obviously an extreme example but Kat Von D is what most people would say is highly successful, making a hell of a lot more than either me or you, and her face is tattooed.

Still not answering why you think facial tattoos are a sign of mental illness, or how elective plastic surgery is different from tribal beautification practices, but yep, glad you could make it.

If i remember correctly, She is a Tattoo artist, Not a Coportate CEO she makes more money then either of us, but its in a field where Tatts are accepted more, where it is generally difficult to be successful.

She's a lot more than a tattoo artist. That's where she started but she branched out, far. She has things like her own makeup line now.

Wiener Dog uber Alles!

Rodney the wiener dog ran into a doberman today. Both just stared at each other, like 'what the hell dude?'You have to admit those Germans liked to play happy fun time with dog genes.

Now remember, its very important. If there is also a French class, you must immediately invade it, and march down the front goose stepping and singing "Mein hut er hat drei rechen!!!"

I mean, Look, If i was hiring someone, I might overlook a neck tattoo that was visible, Maybe even a face tattoo, Some can be nice and look pretty fricken awesome.
But this just looks back. The lettering looks nice, but the large letters and the way it was put on her face its looks inelgiable.
Why did she just not do a neck Tattoo.

Yes, she may still be able to get a job somewhere, but will it be well-paid? Most likely not. Will it be fulfilling? Most likely not. Will it be something unskilled, with long hours, and near or at minimum wage pay? Most likely.

That's just the way the world works. You can rage against society all you like, but when you ink up your face and can't find work anywhere but at your local burger joint or tattoo parlor, you have no one to blame but yourself.

On second thought, she may be the perfect candidate for a new reality TV show. I guess there really is opportunity for everyone these days.
