That could well be my favourite 40K tank...just an excellent model. Wouldn't look out of place in Command and Conquer, now I think about it.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

I had the chance to handle one at the Horus Heresy weekender and the pictures don't do it justice. The barrel moves up and down and the armour plate above it is is hinged so the armour moves with it. It does look very good in the flesh.

Why does every single Terminator release ever have to have 4 Power Fists and a Power Sword? Would it be too much to ask for them to include one more fist so I didn't have to buy two sets of 4 fists to build 5 legal Terminators for my Templars?

So, pardon my ignorance, but is the Tartaros Pattern Terminator armor supposed to be 30k style? Or is it the 40k next gen Terminator armor?

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I wasn't really a fan of the original tartaros armour, but I quite like these.

Tataros terminator armour is 1 of 3 evolutions of cataphractii armour, standard terminator armour is another, while the third currently has no minis. The main design difference in the heresy tataros armour is a lack of a crux terminatus, which is a post heresy thing, each one containing a sliver of the emperors armour from his final battle with horus.

Four patterns exist. Cataphractii Pattern was supposed to be the first pattern made and issued to the Legions. The "standard" Terminator armor is called "Indomitus Pattern" and is the most common type. Tartaros Pattern is the most technologically advanced of the patterns and last is Saturnine Pattern which, as Sirius said, has no model. Although I do wonder if this is supposed to be it (of if FW will use this as the basis for the design)...

And apart from the four "main" Terminator Armour types there are, of course, variations such as Aegis Terminator Armour and the various Artificier Terminator Armours belonging to Chapter Masters and the like.

Aegis and artificier are both variations on the Indomitus pattern aren't they though?

Ageis is a variation of Indomitus but artificer can be any type. Artificer is to armor what Master Crafted is to weapons - a catch-all catagory to describe ornate armor fashioned for the wearer and includes regular power armor (all marks) as well as terminator armor.

Yeah, they are just the normal tartarous terminators minus the aquillia (so they can be fielded as legions other than EC) and no crux terminatus.

These things not used to be £10, or is that me misremembering? Anyhow, I have a thing for the Tigrus pattern. Pity that for the most part I've finished all the bolter armed marines in my army already.

I rather like those Palatine blades. Perhaps if honour guard aren't gak in the next edition, I could use them.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

They aren't too loaded with EC bling, a little creativity with some GS and a snip here or there should do. Honour Guard are supposed to be bling-y, after all.

And besides, we still don't exactly know who the Blood Ravens are descended from, and they are partial to looting everything.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

I wonder if we can read anything into the Jump Destroyers being painted as Raven Guard?

Probably not. We know the Raven Guard are in the third book, and we know they like jump pack units. They've almost certainly started work on the third book already, so the choice of a Raven Guard scheme for these models could mean nothing more than them being background filler in a random picture somewhere in the third book. After all, why paint entirely new ones if your photographer already requested these?
