I... I have finished a model! Basically we had a long run of really hot weather, which I hate painting in. Then an overload at work caused me a couple of weeks of stress migraines. Then we decided to adopt a puppy, which is always time consuming. But I've been chipping away a little at a time.

First Kum rider to his the (sandy) road. I was trying to figure out a way to make them fit into my colour scheme but also look individual. I settles on combat gear mostly matching my scheme, with their bikes all being painted different.

Whats still on my bench. That's the second rider with the blue bike. The rider is art way done. Then two converted female Kum (Maghariba Guard pilot and Lizard pilot), and Kasym Beg (missing his arms due to a mispack, which are making their way here as we speak). Plus my Sekban which I want to finish.

Very nice, looks like you have done a good job with his skin. The leather jacket also looks great, you can see straight away what it is.

Did you manage to get the Ltd edition Penthouse mini (on chopper) to lead these bad boys?

No. I'm considering it, but I think 5 Kum riders will be enough. I'm not even sure if I want to grab the Zamarova twins, as I have two perfectly good proxies right now.

Though I'm sure the models will be fantastic and I'll buy them and Penny anyway because I have zero self control.

Slogging away at my first table (any suggestions for terrain that would work for playing welcome)

People seem to really dig the little inner city planter box thingy

Yep the planters are always cool on Infinity terrain. Even lets us get away with the 'can't-possibly-be-the-right-scale' trees since they're the smaller kind they tend to plant in urban areas.

The shapes and colors definitely make me think Infinity. What will the surface of the board be like? Are you gonna paint or get some kind of material to cover it to give it a roads+city vibe?

For my personal taste, I think it could use some posters and/or graffiti on the walls here and there so as to look lived in.

But looks pretty awesome already in any case, great work

That looks extremely cool!

I would put some kind of mat or surface layer down as a base, and see how it looks. You can start adding grafitti and dirt as Grimdork suggests, but then you would lose the clean, clinical look you have now - although you may want that of course!

You need some form of VTOL aircraft or helicopter for the landing pad, otherwise think you are pretty much there

Loki your Kum biker looks really nice.

Really liking the planter box as well Trapthem, adds a nice spot of colour.

I've just finished my Nomads from O:I, they have taken me ages but I'm quite happy with them.

I haven't decided if I go urban streets or warehouse dock kinda vibe on that terrain yet. Makes decision making hard!

I'm thinking i might have to go half half, with like a urban road leading into a flat, road less dock full of big warehouse buildings maybe.

I was hoping to laser cut MDF tiles for this but the cost blows it out a bit (my local fablab has closed down for now so no free lasers) so yet to decide what I do. Pretty much most of my entire board is laser cut by myself so far.

Some close up / better pics:

Oooh, those Nomads are Nice

I also really like your various Scenery Trapthem, very fitting for infinity. The trees are especially cool.

Here's my humble offering, my latest Infinity mini, a Fusilier from Icestorm:

Turns out the best photo of him was one he shared with one of my moderators.

Three Color Minimum

my first Infinity model,i bought it to enter into a painting competition and finished it over the course of 2 days.
Due to time constraints it wasn't as good as i wanted to be and i was unable to do the base before handing it in (talk about last minute )
I also left the things on the side of his head of for style purposes (and totally not because when i clipped them of the sprue one of them jumped across my room an i couldn't find it )
NOTE: this photograph was taken for the competition (hence the number and store logo),the model has to remain in the store until the end of march so i can't take any different photographs until then.

Perhaps not, but since GW seems to subsist off sadness and pain, I can't rule it out.

Looks nice, love the shade of purple (and the shading itself) you have used for the cloak, and the bright blue of the sword contrasts nicely with the armour.

Very brave going for the Crusader crosses on the armour as well!

Beautiful work Tunnel Rat, you are a braver man than I for doing that tartan!

Is that all freehand that you have used?

^Which, as the artist in question, is your prerogative to do so at will I highly advocate such things!

I'll have to try a tartan/flannel sometime, yours looks excellent.

Great skin/fur tones as well!

PanO

Nomads

Done in, essentially, four evenings. They still need a bit of work (hair, highlights on the face, bases) but otherwise I'm quite happy with them.

The PanO need something on the legs - maybe brown holster/straps?

I tried the old Duncan Rhodes Space Marine eyes trick for the PanO lights, but it hasn't come out well on the photo. Likewise, they're not actually that dark. They look much better in real daylight.

Anyways - my first Infinity minis!
