What would you remake and why? How would you remke it? Gfx, engine, sound, make it online, make it coop etc?

I'd love to redo Chaos Gate and Final Liberation.

Panzer Dragoon Saga. A wonderful JRPG which abandoned many of the genre traditions and felt unique; much of the game was traversed on the back of a morphing dragon and the developers did away with the need for the needlessly excessive grinding so trenchant in JRPGs.
Sadly not many people got to play it due to its being released in the Sega Saturn's twilight days, and made worse by a limited number of copies. worse still, Sega have admitted to losing the game's source code, making any ports highly unlikely and a remake looks like the only realistic option at this stage.

Resident Evil 2. In the style of the RE1 remake on Gamecube please; nuff said really!

Blood Omen: Legacy Of Kain. It had a great story and setting, and some really nasty spells and gadgets to use on Nosgoth's inhabitants; time for the series to return to its roots.

Fable TLC: make it what Molyneux said it would be, update the textures and animations.

Best game ever.

Mandatory post: Planescape Torment. People just don't make games like these anymore.

Games where you have to read an actual in-depth story. Not that slowed CoD-trash.

Up-to-date graphics, more areas / quests / NPCs etc.

Perfect game, 10/10.

Losing as in to another developer/legal issues or actually losing it like on some dodgy hard drive somewhere? If the latter truely hilarious.

What he said!

Also, just go with games like Thief, System Shock 2, Deus Ex etc. and give them ridiculous good graphics / SFX. Why? Because those are the only things they lack.

Good things are good,.. so it's good

Remake classic game?

Isnt that what everyone has wanted for every 'dumb down' sequel every year brings? Morrowind, Fallout, Banjo Kazooie, etc....

In general I would never remake a 'Classic' game.

However I'd love an updated graphics version of FFVII, Soul Reavers/Legacy of Kains and Digimon World (grew stupidly attached to that game )

Tobal No. 2. It is a classic (to me) and it never got a European or US release. That needs to be corrected.

Anybody ever play Ring of Red on PS2. That was a great game. Not to be confused with xbox 360 red ring of death.

Chaos Gate needs to be released on GoG. The day it does will be glorious indeed. Is KOTOR classic yet? Part 3 son, do it. Shadows of the Empire would be cool with Uncharted or Deadspace graphics.

Dark Reign - Graphics update and make the damn game playable on modern operating systems.

Falcon 4.0 - While there are some great mods out there, they still work off a 15 year old game engine. Update the graphics, update the weapons tech to current standards, the setting works just as well today as it did back then, if not better

BF2142 - Not so much of a classic for a lot of people, but I really wish they'd make a sequel in the same setting.

EDIT: Oh, and a Freespace 3 would be awesome...just saying.

Yep. Needs skippable animations though, those were so long :/

Still, best mech game to me.

Ostensibly the latter, though incredibly nobody at Sega is prepared to admit what actually happened to the code, leading to all kinds of rumours about internal disputes, etc; utterly astonishing.

Ahhh... Lemmings! Not played that in years

A new lemmings with procedurally generated random worlds, some sexy new textures, music etc... not to mention some of the cool tools from Tribes (as well as some new ones )... I would play that game so hard

A new Dungeon Keeper would also be excellent. Loved the original (2 was OK...).

We need more games with humour in them as well. It is tiring to play as "Grim soldier number 296234987" in every game...

Improved graphics, like AOE3 had. Maybe some tweaks to the game mechanics.

Just upgrade all the graphics, animations etc.

Otherwise, don't change a thing. That game is brilliant.

Colonial Marines.

Oh, wait, forgot it wasn't a classic and just feels like it was made so many years ago.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

InXile are developing a sequel, which has been described as a spiritual successor. It may even be good.

An updated Chaos gate would be good, it's playable under Vista and Windows 7 at least.

Personally I would like to see a remake of Hostile Waters: Anteus rising. A FPS/RTS hybrid with a strong storyline and interesting gameplay, its still the gold standard in this (admittedly tiny) genre.
