I'll set up a trade-o-mat near spawn, maybe in the old iron farm, this week.

Noooo! Trade-o-mats crash the server. Wait till 1.1.4 for Trade-o-mats

I will set up a black hole from which your uranium will never escape from that may or may not return resources to you

I'll put it in a chest at spawn?

Doesnt Forestry have like a trade station or a mail order catalogue or something like that?

It does, but it's unnecessarily complicated and you have to craft stamps and paper for every trade, which is not easy if you haven't done anything with bees.

Im interested in getting a bunch of Certus Quartz if anyone has any to trade. I'll pay top dollar for em!

I certainly have some, and will put all of the quartz from my quarries aside for you. As usual, I'll need tin.

i know gets used for a bunch of IC2 stuff, solar panels use quite a bit.

i really should try an oreberry farm as i have access to just about every type.

i am in the market for redstone for my solar arrays. i do have tin and uranium for trade.

There's lots of everything in the uranium powered public resource dome, there are signs at the nexus leading to it

So if you're giving out tin, why am i accepting half a stack for each uranium i supply?

in your case you'd have to pay someone to come get the ore since my area apparently crashes you

//edit: to be clearer, there is a self regenerating 48 block sphere inside the semi-dangerous dome which is composed mostly of ores, you have to mine them yourself, this is pretty fun and prevents one person from looting way too much stuff from the public resource pool.

Speaking of this crazy sphere of ores I took a gander at once, how the heck does it work?

How would one go about setting up a system so that once an Energy Cell is full, a red-stone signal is emitted which when inverted will allow me to turn of a bank of engines? And to make it really fancy is there any way to then send this signal across ages?
Many thanks in advance

put a pipe next to it
put a gate on the pipe
set gate to "when can store energy, emit redstone signal"
use that redstone signal to turn on the engines

note if you are drawing power from those engines and the cell is constantly at like 99.9% used the engines will never warm up and it will be super inefficient.

Sweet thanks - It is going to be powering some machinery but it will be off most off the time - its for my ME grid.

ME grid constantly soaks power so you'll have problems with the engines turning on and off
a better choice would be to have your machines attached to this cell since they dont run all the time, and have another redstone signal come from a pressure plate in front of your me crafting station

that way the engines will only turn on when you are standing at your ME, or your machines need power, thats what I did until my energy production was high enough to just leave everything on

another idea might be to have the cell not output power unless it gets a redstone signal, and have the cell attached to the pressure plate

that sounds interesting but im doing everything in a wakey way.
My main storage is being done using solar panels in the mining age.
I'm just going to turn on the crafting section using a dark ME cable when I want to use it.
My power is coming from lava from the nether so im trying to find ways to just save it a bit instead of having engines running constantly.
The ME side along with the IC2 machines is being powered by Geothermal generators linked to an MFSU while the bulk of the other work will be done by magmatic engines linked to a cell.
I can then just turn it off when im not using it and let it replenish any lost energy.

Sorry another question - is it possible to turn MFE's of by applying a redstone signal? - the wiki's are a bit vague on the subject :/

I think they stop transmitting on a redstone signal period, its the mffe that needs a redstone signal to output the higher voltage
