New (hardware) server has double the spec of the current server for the same price - bit of an obvious decision. The Monster 1.1.2(+) upgrade is because everyone likes shiny new things and I'm long overdue on upgrading.

We're just using standard FTB monster, so no custom mods added. Keeps everything nice and simple.

Do you have any plans on item transfer yet, Darkinnit? Ender chest copying, starter packages, or just lump it and get started from scratch?

It won't be starter packages or starting from scratch - that's probably for a 1.7 pack.

All I'll say for now is don't put much effort into Enderchests, they won't be much use at all. Instead if you want to makes things easier for yourself, focus on items that let you carry many items at a time, like golden bags and Applied Energistics storage. I don't want to give too much away just yet, but don't worry if you can't fit everything you want into your players' inventory...

I have generated a new Biomes O Plenty world, yes. No map just yet. I still need to set up Mystcraft ages too. I don't think the Hellish Ocean will be needed this time around, as ATG isn't involved to mess up the oceans.

So... can we put DSUs in AE Storage? Will that cause any problems?

Is there anything that probably *won't* be able to be transferred over? Modular Powersuits? Nodes in a jar? DSUs full of DSUs full of drums full of Fortron?

From the basic testing I did, most things are fine.

There is the issue of Rotarycraft and Advanced Genetics changing item IDs - IIRC Rotarycraft is ok as long as the items are stored in inventories (e.g. chests, bags, AE storage, etc) but Advanced Genetics items may vanish altogether. I'm ok with refunding the items lost in the transition to 1.1.2 (or whichever version we end up on).

Armor is another interesting item - armor, including Powersuits, transfers over just fine... ...as long as you're not wearing it. - I'll write a more detailed post or page on caveats like this closer to the time once I've done more testing and checking. You can still wear your armor for now

Honestly, I didn't ask with the intention of getting it put in. It's obvious that it's not in there for a reason, be it personal preference of the mod-pack creator, or how it interacts with some other mods in the pack, or some other reason.

Actually we all did It made changes to the vanilla crafting bench. Although I know what you mean, it wasn't heavily used.

I believe I crashed the server again by disassembling a Redstone Conduit next to an EnderIO Power Conduit. It's really hard to prevent this...

That happened to me several times in single player mode as well

Is the server up again? I am fiddling around with MultiMC to try different Monster versions and i couldn't connect (with 1.0.9) and initially thought the problem was on my end.

With the news of the "soon" switch, I've started to disassemble stuff. It just so happens I had some TE Conduits next to EnderIO conduits from a long time ago. It wasn't a conscious decision.

Is the server up again? I am fiddling around with MultiMC to try different Monster versions and i couldn't connect (with 1.0.9) and initially thought the problem was on my end.
Last time this happened, all was fine after the reset that happens every 2hr. Next one is about an hour from now.

I've played around with the newer ReactorCraft version in Monster 1.1.2 and among the various ways to turn your base into radioactive wasteland i found my next power supply (that is actually quite safe if kept away from flammable blocks in case of lost plasma):

A huge nuclear fusion power plant that was quite fiddly to built, especially the different multi-block structures that often depend on the build order (the picture is missing some more multi-blocks, such as turbines and generators).
If fission is more your thing the mod offers at least three distinct reactor types that can be build in nearly any shape and in more or less safe ways. I would recommend a different dimension for the fission reactors though as a malfunctioning and melting reactor turns your base into uninhabitable space for a long time (some of the simpler designs were quite robust and i had a hard time getting them to blow up though). All in all the mod has come a long way since the release of our older Monster pack.

I am wearing a ReactorCraft Hazmat suit to withstand some of the neutron radiation at safe spots inside the reactor. Jumping into the beam is not recommended though.
I guess it's more or less indestructible like the RotaryCraft bedrock armor that displays similar values.

Note the random things block mover allows you to pick up and store tile entities (chests, machines, other interactable blocks), and even better it stores all the data, so you can pick up the center middle block of a railcraft tank and take all the liquid with you.

Also tested on thaumcraft nodes, it works.

Well great, just as i come to pack up the very last of my ME system i broke myself, if i login i get a kicked immediately with a: Internal exception: Java.ioException: Bad packet id 2
Any ideas how to fix this

ok now I'm getting end of stream, and can't even access the server, i was able to get on, and found the problem was a couple of slightly borked ME drives, however i have picked one up, in an attempt to fix the previous problem and have now completely borked myself.

I realised Seared Stone looks almost identical, so I just set up a quick factory for that. Gonna make a server room.
