I wouldn't have deep struck the monolith, I'd have bubble wrapped it to prevent him from getting within melta range without mishapping however.
WIth the deathmarks, why didnt they move and then run to grab the objective towards the end of the game instead of relying on another deep strike? They looked in range at least
Otherwise, an excellent report as usual! BAO is right around the corner, good luck!

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum.

This is what I was wondering as I watched as well. You weren't that far off and if it went to turn 7 they would have been in range to unload on the scouts. Awesome report though it was very entertaining.

I made some rules boo boos, termies can't sweep, Doh! Also iirc the swarms had stealth from zandrekh not the old usr, but I could have goofed there, too. I haven't played crons in a long time. Sorry for the confusion, fellas.
But yes, the bao is looming, can't wait! Going to be super fun.
I was refering to his El roll, thanks for clarifying.
And ah yes, the Storm Raven is HS, not FA. My opponent forgot that, too.
I made a number of errors in this one, I just haven't played Crons or BA in a while, but it's good to work out the kinks. I will hit the books again hard before the BAO, I have just been swamped with work.

Beer Hammer! Every time a can of beer is consumed it may be placed on the board as impassable terrain. You can play with talls if you really feel like a champ, but ehhhhh lol. I would say bottles, but lets face it.... in this case its all about quantity not quality. Save the bottles for another time .

Beer hammer is awesome! Just don't want to get alcohol poisoning! haha
@chancetragedy
We keep saying we're going to but lately we've been insanely busy and just haven't done it. We were thinking the sprite and banana challenge or the cinamaon challenge for the next one, haha!
Haha I just heard about the banana and sprite challenge a couple days ago that one would be pretty funny. The cinnamon challenge is brutal, but great for entertainment. The only problem I see is the milk challenge is perfect for a 40k game as you have an hour. The other two seem pretty Instant in effect.

Reecius, just a heads up. Unless you changed something with the BAO scenarios, a unit that Deep Strikes, mishaps and rolls on Delayed goes into Ongoing Reserves, not just normal reserves (pg 36, under Deep Strike Mishap Table, result 4-6). Remember that Ongoing Reserves allows units to come back on automatically (pg 125).

20 shots would see me dead! hahaha, that would be brutal.
@chancetragedy
Yeah, we were thinking the loser would have to do the challenge.
Or, we coudl do centruy club! 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes, that is pretty brutal. We used to play that in colege. Most people can't do it. It breaks down to 8 3/4 beers in 1 hour and 40 minutes, which is no easy task. That is about the time it takes to play 40K, too. The challenge could be: don't barf before finishing the challenge, loser has to cap the challenge with a shot of tequilla! hahah
That would be rough.
@Aresx8
You are 100% right. My opponent hardly plays these days as he is so busy with work, and I just straight up got a lot of rules wrong, I haven't played crons in a long time. Sorry for the confusion, I will have to be more dilligent in editing the video for rules problems next time.
