I still say that spider drones would have been better. You need to work hard to sell an antigrav vehicle as an actual vehicle, and a beveled gear under the chassis doesn't cut it. Wheels, tracks, legs or ducted fans are all more convincing ways to convey a vehicle's ability to move.

Spider legs would be a nice conversion opportunity, but imagine how warped they would have ended up with this material.
We have yet to see the fiddly bits on Aphid Suit Barker, and perhaps that's for a reason.

see, I don't get the issue everyone seems to be making out of that. I've just built one of Mantic's new chariots (similar if not identical material) and if any of their new kits will bend in on itself before you even unpack it, it's that one. However, I just scraped off all mold lines and boiled some water - took me a few minutes (if that...) to bend everything back into place and it's hardly a highly skilled technique, to say the least.
It's one little extra thing to do in the usual checklist, I don't get the big deal.
No fan of spider legs for these by the way, I think the floating idea is displayed nicely by them... floating.
Besides that would have been more complex than this so probably more expensive at least in the tooling, and these are basically thrown in as a quick in-between freebie to upgrade some card tokens. at least this way they're consistent with the mini hovertank and really, what in the seven heavens else are you going to use them for? (okay, they will be used to proxy PanO auxbots in an annoying infinity auxilia-spam list every once in a while but not much more...)

Having to boil water and bend back non-resin, general release models isn't going to make for a good seller, no matter how easy it is to do in reality. It just sounds (and looks) like something you shouldn't have to deal with.

But you could equally say
having to assemble general release models isn't going to make for a good seller...
and that's clearly not true, whole piles of stuff that needs assembly (that does not even offer alternate poses or bits) still sells well
I agree needing to boil and bend is not ideal,
but board gamers that are put off by that will equally be put off by mini assembly (and probably wouldn't be too bothered by low end board game style figures)

I'm curious why they took so long, though.
Why blue plastic? Will they be released in blue plastic?
I assume since the game is being marketed as more of a board game than a minis game, different color (if that is the way they will come) will be easily identified, more so if they count as a "token" rather than a unit/character for rules purposes.

I don't get it; we've spent ages dealing with metal models which have mold lines too (and which are just as annoying to clean up) and while those are easier to bend back, parts hardly ever fit anywhere near as well as something cast via rigid tooling such as these and even if these don't quite fit, it's easier to cut off the excess. They're less of a hassle than metal and the detail is pretty damn good. What's the issue? Sure, board gamers will be put off by having to bend stuff back into place. However, those board gamers don't give a damn if everything lines up just right etc so they don't care. I really, really don't understand why this frankly stupid line of reasoning is still going.

Update time!
Back from Gencon and gearing up to ship
Update #107 · Aug 20, 2013 · comment
We're back from Gencon, have all the wave 2 packing slips printed and are taking pictures of the contents now to share with Battlefoam to minimize errors on shipping since there are a lot of different options on this wave.
Once that's sorted, packing and shipping will begin - when your shipment goes out you'll get an email with tracking info, and we will send another update when we've finished shipping wave 2, so you won't need to contact us about a missing shipping notification unless we update and state shipping is complete and you haven't gotten anything or a shipping notification.

New Errata is now available - the biggest change is to nano it's now a status check on a dice roll (4+) and no longer autoinfects.

Latest FAQ
http://www.seditionwars.com/images/faq_24-08-13b.pdf
There are further updates due to these over the next few weeks. Not everything that is being reviewed has made it to the Errata yet as they are still being worked on. The Cthonian for example is being worked on but hasn't reached final agreement on the changes so isn't included yet.

Yes the Errata are for the V2 rulebook & cards (download below)

hardcopies of the cards come with wave 2 (as will the V2 rulebook if you added it via unlocking the pledge manager)

Yes they are for the revised rule book it was in an earlier update but you can find everything you need here:
http://www.seditionwars.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=62&Itemid=70
The rule book and cards are not being revised again it is intended that any updates or changes will be by way of the Errata only.

Project Update #110: Shipping update - hiccup
Posted by CoolMiniOrNot Like
We packed several reward boxes without the deck of cards for the new models included in the Biohazard pack and options, and just caught it in the warehouse. Due to a mistake at the printer, these were not actually shipped to us and we are getting them air-freighted in today, which means we will only be able to continue shipping on Friday.
We actually ordered the extra cards as a combined quantity with the replacement decks you are all receiving for free, but apparently they were not combined but instead printed separately as a separate product. We requested shipments of the replacement decks, believing they were a combined product, and received a deck short of 33 of the cards you'll need to use the additional models.
We've prevented any items from going out as we caught it just in time this morning, so no one should be getting a package short of cards. We're very sorry for the additional delay and are doing everything we can to cut it short.

I'm happy they're providing updates. I happy they're being communicative.
People like you, Bolognesus, and several on Kickstarter comments can't remain happy no matter what SMcVey does. Stop whining.
Imagine yourself in McVey's position. There is a delay or mistake. Regardless of what McVey does, people are going to complain. I'm simply happy they chose the option of communication.
As an aside, I didn't imply that the folks that spent money on the game were the one and only problem. I just responded to your worthlessly sarcastic hyperbole with something equally deserving. Now please stop complaining. You'll get your toys someday. If McVey had mispacked those boxes, you'd be complaining anyways.

Actually, in either case, it's CMoN's mistake or delay, since they've been handling basically all of the production end of things, and I believe SMV has no control over KS communication either...

The only thing I've really complained about is poor/lack of commo. It isn't whining, commo sucked on McVeys part and on C'MON's part.
So keep throwing gak at your straw man if it helps you feel better.

Actually, if you were to read back through the assorted SW threads I've been one of the rather consistently positive voices (certainly when it came to models). I even defended them on some of the issues with rules clarity etc. until it got really ridiculous. And honestly, if you can't agree by now that the way the ruleset has been handled has been one huge clusterfeth I don't really know what to even say to you. As to my actual negativity: that's mostly reserved for CMoN's way of handling communications. Again, that's something no reasonable person would actually defend as being up to snuff. Sufferable perhaps, for what is still absolutely a great deal in minis for various purposes, but certainly not good.
If they had actually been responsive and communicative from the start, I'd barely have shrugged at this. Now, however? You really are full of crap if you seriously claim we're being unreasonably negative on a project with the issues SW has had.
Again, for a large part due to CMoN's handling - but McVey is certainly not blameless on the rules crap (really, I cannot for the life of me grasp how someone with Mike McVey's track record let something slip that badly...).

The rules crap is entirely McVey's fault for obviously not playtesting enough. I am on board with that.
Delays because of a printer not following orders correctly is not something a company can control. Take it from me, I work in a field where I have to deal with a printer, and have seen numerous delays because of not filling orders and misprinting things.
Although I do think it sucks that the Eratta for the V2 rulebook and cards actually beat the actual product to my door, and as a Kickstarter backer that door should be one of the first ones that the product would see.

While this is true, McVey have their own forums, and have spent much of the last year failing to communicate as well. It seems a circular path of implied blame has been chosen by both CMON and McVey as to who is (was) letting backers down on the issue of communication, when it's clearly been both. The way the rules were handled has turned out to be atrocious, and has certainly acted as a detriment to both the McV and SW brands. Time, of course will be what tells us if it's recoverable and they can grow again or if McV ends up remaining simply a producer of boutique resin miniatures to their existing group of fans.

There was a time when I had some hopes for the Sedition Wars ruleset eventually scaling up to be a good tabletop skirmish and/or potentially ever larger alternative.
Not so much now...
