Is there alternative to the old GW Flesh Wash ink? Been using it as a shade for a yellow army and running out, don't want to change the tone suddenly

Did you check the paint conversion chart? There should be a new equivalent on there. It is worth a look.

Flesh wash is from the last-but-one paint range so isn't on the conversion chart.

I have been carefully nursing my own flesh wash bottle as it is just such a great colour. I have done a little bit of experimentation and I think it is similar to a mix of Devlan Mud and Sepia, which would be Earthshade and Sepia in the new paint range.

Something like 1:3 or 1:2 of mud:sepia.

Oh okay, so it is a much older wash. I bet there is something close still, they added a ton of new pots to the range this go around.

the great thing about flesh wash is that you can water it down a lot and it remains a very strong deep shade, even if its very shiny. Strangely unsuited to flesh tho.
for some reason I don’t have much confidence in GW's modern paints and stuff, the old set (just replaced) dried up very quickly and the glues seem to be getting worse with every pot my mate buys. Seems like they let quality slip a lot after the initial sales pitch.

Try these. If I remember correctly, Coat D'Arms was the manufacturer for the old Citadel paints and inks. You could give that a shot, they even have a Flesh Ink Wash.
