I had this idea for a Slaanesh CSM army. I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it but I couldn't find any reference photos.

Basically what I had in mind was an army of CSM with Daemonette bits on them. Daemonette heads, crab claws and such in power armor. I think it would look fantastic or ridiculous, so I'm running it by you.
Of course this army would be fluffylicious, but would you buy the concept? Slaanesh marines so favored by the god that they all become possessed by Daemonettes, without actually counting as Possessed CSM. Does it make sense?
I think it would be a fun way to make them stick out as Slaaneshi, without having to paint them bright pink. Any thoughts?

Rule of Cool trumps everything. Do it well enough and people won't complain.

I think the idea is valid and exciting.

Bear in mind that the slaaneshi marines are into massive degrees of body modification - the twisted, androgynous faces of the daemonettes would suit them just fine without needing to explain it by saying they are possessed. Similarly, the claws could just as easily be a result of gift from slaanesh.

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

it's an interesting twist and would make your army unique, which is always good. the one thing that gives me pause is that daemonettes are (vaguely) female and astartes are most definitely not. for me, that makes it an odd conversion. then again, this is slaanesh we're talking about and everything goes...

That is exactly what has me doubting. The slender and "delicate" Damonette heads on chunky Space Marine bodies. Ideally I'd use SoB power armor but that would cost me both arms and legs.
Perhaps I could make some boobs out of green stuff, the idea makes me feel weird though...

I bought bits from a game called Robogear that were supposed to be power armored men, but were oddly tall and lanky. They became the basis of my "Emperor's Widows" female Slaanesh marines. (There were madly cheap as well on HoardoBits a few months ago, but not sure where you'd find them now.)

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome.
