More FW crons than what is around now will be a good sight to see. I am glad for some focus on the minotaurs as well. But I don't think Dkok need more of a spotlight. Unless you think that what is popular should be more popular.

I love how people seem to have forgotten that even before the Horus Heresy books, Forge World had a lengthy delay between their books.

I'm really really really looking forward to this. Mymeara revitalized my love for Eldar, at least for a while. If it's at least as good as that one, then I'll be happy.

Necrons better win though.

I just wish we'd get a mini for that Dominus Bombard Siege Battery thingy that we've only seen in silhouette.

Then I could get a Super-Heavy Artillery detachment (2 of the MLRS one and one of the Bombard one).

Rumor is the Minotaurs are wiped out to the last manotaur.

Also, @#%$. I love the Tomb Stalker model, and am still on the fence about the Acanthrites; mostly because of their rules... but vehicles? I love the look of all the Necron Vehicles, specially the Scythes, love those crescents of doominess! Ill be keeping a keen eye for any new vehicles that are on the horrizon for the Necrons. >_>

Take it with a grain of salt, but my understanding is the Dominus Bombard Siege Battery was delayed because they were looking at doing a Bombard Emplacement piece of scenery.

Does anyone know if it's still supposed to be a series, like what we saw with Badab and Vraks? I seem to recall discussions that it was an escalating conflict, starting with the fall of this one world, sector wide conflict, and then the resolution, whatever it is.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Maybe its me but so far ALL the Xeno IA's are one book

So unless they decide to break that trend...

They were not all intended to be.

Most notably, "Raid on Kastorel-Novem" was going to be a two part book but got given a hasty conclusion when they decided to do "The Badab War" instead.

MajorStoffer: Can't comment on that. The last I heard regarding multiple books was when they first started working on the Necron/Minotaur and DKoK angle. Originally "Imperial Armour 12" was going to be a battle on board of a penal asteroid colony which had suffered an uprising of a Tzeentchian Cult and summoned in the Thousand Sons.

That idea has been shelved for later from what I understand.

Meh, Damnos still fell. The book just highlighted the initial victory of the blue marines. Considering the name of this book, and the history Xenos have with IA books, I'm guessing that it probably doesn't end well for the imperium.

Off their Facebook page - Forge World 'We hope to have some copies available at the Forge World Open Day, but we'll be confirming this later in the month. Obviously this would then suggest a general release shortly after that event'.
And - 'We'd say late if it's April at all, Andrew. The best thing to do is to keep an eye on the newsletter'.
So possibly 1 month if they get them ready in time for the open day or 2 months if they don't.

Exactly that at the start of the "Raid on Kastorel-Novem" they said that they are looking to do more Orks as they missed the opportunity to include all the clans. Wonder if that was originally planned for the second book.

... Yes, but we never got to see that victory. We've never actually seen any Necron victory in print. I (as well as every Necron player I know) want to actually see our victory recorded, for once, in all of it's Gauss-filled, Tesla-arcing glory. We want a book that gives the Imperium pause. We play 'crons because they are horrific. It's about time someone stepped up and showed us the vast magnitude of that horror.

BL has shown repeatedly (save for Dead Men Walking, and even that victory was arguable) that they simply don't have the balls to do it. I'd like to hope that Forge World does.

That's an interesting situation then.

The Necrons can't ever win.

The Imperium can't ever win in a FW book (unless it's a civil war).

Conclusion: the book will end in the middle of the fight with a second book promised, but it will never happen because another heresy book will make more money.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

It wasn't. IA8 was only ever a one-book story. I quote from page 4, Warwick's introduction:

'The decision was made... to cut the book in half and deal with just three clans. The other three would be shelved and we will return to then in future... Bad Moons, Blood Axes [and] the Snake Bites will all appear in a future campaign.'

I believe that, at UK Games Day, Tony and Alan said something about wanting to cover all the races before revisiting any of them, hence the change to Necrons.

True, I stand corrected.

Suffice to say that we don't see total Necron Victory in print outside the codex.

... though I feel making that deliniation is somewhat absurd as a codex that didn't prominantly feature it's army winning major campaigns would not really encourage sales of said army...

GW is, after all, in the business of selling little gray army men for exhorbitant sums of money.

If you want to post a quote, please post the full quote.

Warwick Kinrade wrote:The decision was made (as we had faced with the Chaos forces for the Siege of Vraks), to cut the book in half and deal with just three clans. The other three would be shelved and we will return to them in the future. So here we have concentrated upon the Goffs, Evil Sunz and Death Skulls. The Bad Moons, Blood Axes (my personal favourite, but even the author doesn't get his way all the time), and the Snake Bites will all appear in a future campaign, no doubt with a fresh wave of cool new Ork kits.

It's also worth noting that when I say "Raid on Kastorel-Novem was supposed to be a two part book" it is not idle speculation on my part. The original "list" of models that was shown from a Games Day actually was labeled "Imperial Armour 8 and 9".

I really like the Necron's have too many armies on the go though and can't justify another.

If they end up with some big tri-pod walker titan thing then I dont know if I could resist lol
