So now it's useless to take Epidemius as an ally to a CSM list =/

Logic being that before his chart affected all models with the mark of nurgle (IIRC) where as now he only affects daemons of nurgle..

Basically gutting the Typhus + Cultist swarm kill :(

They also changed the Tally from effecting all Nurgle Daemons to only those within 6 inches. Not to mention the nerfed Tally abilities. I like the new Tally list as its not as over powered as the old list was but 6" range? Come on GW. Once again the ruin the popular models so we all have to go out and buy new.

What about with a triple Nurgle Oblit build?

Depends on whether or not that a model with the Daemon USR with a MoN is considered a daemon of nurgle... given prescidence with khorne daemon prince and the AoBF, I'm guessing they'll say yes.
If this is true, I see a nasty combo of warp talons + skull cannon + (daemon w/ icon). icon moves forward, talons DS to icon w/o scatter, BLIND!!, then assault the unit that was hit by the skull cannon, striking at initiative.

How do the Slaanesh units that reduce initiative work? I was thinking combining them with the blind effect from the talons could be useful.

Actually, the precedent with the Axe of Blind Fury is the exact opposite. They actually Errata'd the rules for the axe so that it is now available to "Models with the Mark of Khorne, or Daemons of Khorne." That makes it pretty clear that they aren't the same thing, or they'd have just had a FAQ like this: "Can a Daemon of Khorne take the Axe? Yes."

Found another thing that might bend it toward the "Yes" side. The warp storm thingy coundta anything with Mark of ... as being a Daemon of ... when rolling the 5/6/8/9 results. Everyone remember to spam GW with the wierd things so hopefully some of the relevant ones will be answered.

Actually this is contraindicative. Because the warpstorm table says, essentially, 'daemon of X or mark of X,' it implies that they are not equivalent. Those results very clearly hit non-daemon Marked units as well.
