As the title says. I am looking for a 1/72 to 1/76 scale wargame based around WW2. I particularly want something involving alot of tanks as i do love my armour.

Battle Group Kursk
http://ironfistpublishing.com/?page_id=20
Designed for 20mm (1/72 - 1/76) and 15mm scales.
Supports vehicles and infantry. Can do almost vehicle only very well - you are required to have a minimum amount of infantry. That amount varies depending on game size but can be a very small part of your force from a single squad in small games up to a platoon in bigger games.
Being Kursk - the biggest tank battle in history - it's well designed to deal with tanks.
The Normandy book is coming out at the end of April at 'Salute.'
Great game. It's what I'm currently trying to play whenever I can - though I've gone with 15mm rather than 20mm as there's a lot more 15mm WWII gaming near to me.

Blitzkrieg Commander is a set of rules that handles big armored battles very well. It's mainly based around command and control, and is very similar to Warmaster in that respect.

I used to play BKC (Blitzkreig Commander) and its not really suited to 20mm.
More 6mm or 10mm.
I wont make a suggestion as I work with Mr. Kinrade on Battlegroup...

How big of a game do you want to play? Skirmish or something larger?

Yeah, Battlegroup Kursk is pretty cool.
I love the moral system in BGK. The fact that you don't know when either force is going to break is really fun.

Flames of War based stuff works fine for Battle Group Kursk. Maybe you could leverage your investment into two games - especially once the Normandy book is out and you have lists for US+Brits too.

I'm beginning to wander if there isn't a miniatures company GW didn't cause out of spite from it's employees.

Battlegroup Kursk is awesome. Currently my group's favorite WW2 game and super cheap to get into thanks to the plethora of cheap plastic kits.

I agree however, i have stopped being so enthusiastic with them, as the anti tank rules are very poor and shallow, for instance the panther is not accurately portrayed in the game. It had very heavy frontal armour, however it sides and rear were weak. But in rapid fire! you dont even get a +1 on a penetration on the dice roll for getting a shot on the side, and it should be a +2 for the rear I'm sorry but I want to have accurate rules in a histroical game
