Okay, so probably not likely. But it does make for interesting food for thought.

If we consider that the Primarchs, the Emperor's sons, were never 'flawed' at all, that they were intended to fall and cause the Horus Heresy, engendering a full-scale war spanning the galaxy, and creating fertile ground for millennia of plotting, it actually sort of makes sense.

The theory is even backed up somewhat with the near-constant stream of demons who insist that the Primarchs were created with the help of Chaos. What Chaos entity would be most likely to extend a 'helping' hand to the Imperium? The Schemer, of course.

Again, just idle speculation, but a thought that I considered interesting.

Well, I meant in a more direct fashion, as in he is being directly used by Tzeentch. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that I was hypothesizing that the Big E is an agent of Tzeentch.

Regardless, I concede the point.

Okay, all joking aside. The First Heretic suggests that the Emperor did indeed have the help of the Ruinous Powers to create the Primarchs. However, rather than serving the Gods, he intended to double-cross them by hiding the Primarchs behind a Gellar Field (the same anti-Warp shield that starships use) so that the Gods could not influence them. This plan only fails because the field goes down (thanks to time travel shenanigans) and the Primarchs are abducted.

In short, using the Primarchs as a force for disorder and Chaos may have been Tzeentch's plan all along, but it certainly wasn't the Emperor's goal. He simply thought of himself as a better schemer than Tzeentch... Which, I guess paradoxically makes him a disciple of the Changer.

To quote the emperors adviser when he came up with this plan:

"Emperor you might want to watch out, its that kind of arrogant thinking that could lead to your downfall, maybe at the hands of your own son, possibly then interred in a golden toilet for 10 thousand years.

I mean if the if you are THAT smart surely you realise that, while being an awesome pysker and all, its kind of difficult to double cross a being whose perspective transcends time and space..."

But hell those are just theories, sure, use the powers of Chaos to make the Primarch's, what could possibly go wrong

Yeah but didn't that information come from Daemons anyway? It makes the Emperor look bad and the Ruinous Powers look wronged, so it could well have been a lie. Or may it was true. Or possibly partially true, if the Emperor either did it without their permission or they just view the whole of the Warp as well, theirs.
This plan only fails because the field goes down (thanks to time travel shenanigans) and the Primarchs are abducted.

I wouldn't assume that time travel actually happened in the that fashion. Could have just been a vision. But then I hate those sorts of time travel things.

What if Tzeench was pawn of the Emp?

The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always."

They are all Alpharius.

Anyways, the Emperor ain't a direct pawn of Tzeentch. Just in the same way as everyone else is.

The simplest answer is usually the best answer.

...So what?

Does the theory that the Emperor was actually co-opted by Tzeentch at some point to disintegrate the Imperium actually change anything? Anything at all? Even whether it's 'true' or not doesn't change anything, given that even if it were nobody would believe it and things would simply go on as before...

Tzeentch, the god of change has a minion who is a guy who sits on seat for 10k years and doesn't change? Not seeing it.

To be fair, he's apparently become less responsive over the last couple thousand years. Any change is still change!

As do I brother, I would have words with some of those in this thread and see such thought stricken from this world before corruption takes heart.

Except for those mindless Khorne Beserkers.

Anyways, I've read lots of forums about this (on different sites of course). It does make sense, it also makes sense that maybe the Emperor is a daemon spawn (seeing as how daemons can be summoned into the Materium and how the emperor was created through several psyker sacrifices), maybe even a Chaos God. This would also probably make all gene-seed users part daemon (I think, correct me if I'm wrong). But, for the Imperium to be the dominent species in the 40k universe (okay, maybe not against the Tyranids) it would make sense for Tzeentch to make this happen so Khorne and Nurgle would keep their forces distracted against the Imperium, getting humans involved so the Immaterium can now be involved with the Materium on a massive scale.

They change things from "Living" to "Dead", so, yeah, those guys, too, serve Tzeentch.

Well, in the novel "Eye of Terror" Tzeentch learns how powerful the Emperor is, and that if he truly dies he will become a true god and be able to destroy the powers of Chaos. So, Tzeentch is a pawn of the Emperor because he knows that the Emperor must never truly die.

But heck, that is an old Black Library book so it is probably not accurate anymore haha.
