I was reading through the old 3rd edition guard codex a little while ago (not the 3rd edition 2nd printing redux) and re-read the special character/unit of the Last Chancers with Rocket girl, demo man etc. I was wondering if anyone thinks they'd be cool to have a resurrection in the next guard codex or no?

IT would be cool, but without a policy change it's not going to happen - GW's current policy is that no black library character will ever (again) appear in a codex army book. They also like to pretend they never appeared in the past, either.

Hmmm if we could only get that to happen to the GKs special characters...

I loved the last chancers, have like 3 sets of the old figs, were like the dirty dozen 40k style.

sense when? I havnt noticed that either way (besides the obvious they arnt in the codex right now)

It seems they don't really put outside works in anymore, blood ravens had their own blurb in the 4E C:SM codex and now it seems to be gone in 5th/6th.

Oh well it was a false hope then ahaha, but I'll have to order me a set of the last chancers before there isn't any of the pewter figs lingering in the warehouse stacks.

It's a sort of different situation. They were in the codex before Black Library did their novels, and the originals were not, to my knowledge, in the novels, aside from Schaeffer. Kage wasn't even in the original squad in the codex.

They could easily put the original Last Chancers back and it wouldn't violate any 'no Black Library' agreements.
