The sovsprues only have two bases on. There are eight bodies on a sovsprue so they're short by six, which are made up by green Renedra sprues.

then I literally have no idea. I do know they stopped using Renedra; their last year or so worth of releases has been done by another company ( or the rumored in-house machines?)

They're still selling Renedra bases. It's a pain that not all boxed sets include them, but thankfully, the bases are not that expensive: http://store.warlordgames.com/products/25mm-round-bases-50-pieces

Also, you now have the option to see their prices in USD on their webstore, not that this was really required, as most of the US customers don't buy directly from Warlord anyway.

apparently the US is getting it's own dedicated site in January with player and gaming store locator and shipping from the Warlord US warehouse.

Good to hear -- it will be nice to be able to order some of those things both online retailers and brick'n'mortars are shy about stocking without the UK shipping.

Tiger II is 666 points isn't it?

A regular Elefant is 510 pts, a Tiger II is 555 pts as a regular and 666 pts with a veteran crew.

Does anybody know how Tamiya 1/48 scale tanks compare to Bolt Action infantry (and vehicles) ?

Can they be used or does the scale not look right?

They scale up rather nicely and in my opinion look so much better when compared to sometimes atrociously cast kits from Warlord.

Only lament is that the kits are obviously not made for tabletop use and as such, rather fragile, unlike their chunkier counterparts.

Hmm I haven't had any bad Bolt Action kits so far... Sherman M4A3, Panzer IV, Sherman Firefly, Stug III, Opel Blitz, Panther A. M8 Greyhound. The M4A3 was a little meh, but then the Opel Blitz is beautifully cast. Are there any stinkers I should avoid?

I have one of their STUG 3's, which has these horrible gaps where the upper and lower hull meet, plus the tracks were all bent out of shape. Certainly made me want to sit out until they release more plastics.
