Anyone else slightly annoyed by all the spelling/grammar errors in Codex: Chaos Daemons? I feel like I payed a nice sum for the book, and while the full color spread is nice and all, GW should maybe have actually eddited the printed sections. Am I alone in expecting proper English instead of something that a five year old could have written better?

GW has never written using the best grammar or phrasing. Spelling errors are just one step down from that.

I found one and forgot it...want to send reminders of the issues? And this happens in all codexes...I mean books. Novels. Whatever. Everybody has spelling errors crop up from time to time. I've seen them in Stephen King novels, RA Salvatore switched Guenhwyver from a male to a female kitty after a couple books (in the prequel, he TOTALLY called Guen a "he" then switched to a "she" later. Had to point it out to a friend-he cried in the shower for a week), and yes I realize that's a gender issue, not grammar...but still an issue. Point is, every author makes mistakes. Yes, we are paying for an expensive book, but mistakes happen with every author. It's not really a big deal.

GW does love faulty copy pasting.
The introductory fluff section for the digital Dark Angel codex was a copy paste from the Vampire Counts army book. They fixed it quickly, but seriously. anyone could have caught that.

My friend swore up and down that Guen was always either "female" or "it". I went back and read through the whole damn prequel just to find the one passage where "she" was a "he". I think it was actually a "him/her" moment, but this was many years ago-either way, it happened while Guen was always called an "it". No way to talk about a lady.

I have not found many spelling errors, but a few intriguing errors.
Daemonic Steeds: Direct lift from Codex Chaos Space Marines. Word for word, spread size everything. Most amusing part is the mention of mark of chaos.
Daemon Prince entries in armylist.
Psyker levels: "Daemon Princes without the Mark of Khorne can be given one of the following:"
Rules as written...Daemons of Khorne are now Psykers! Huzzah!
(Also, I'm rather annoyed that Tzeentch Princes got ganked with a 10 pt premium over Chaos Marines Princes of Tzeentch)

All Daemons are Psykers, technically. They use the power of the Warp to affect changes in the material universe, whether that's shooting lightning or teleporting around or absorbing bullets thrown at them. Daemons of Khorne have, in a manner of thinking, always been Psykers.
Heck, Khorne used to randomly grant his champions various sorcerous powers... of course, if they every *used* those powers, they were fethed.

Khorne doesn't hate psykers (Magic, to him). He just think's it's cowardly to use it to kill people directly. He has no issue whatsoever with someone using magic to make themselves physically stronger, and better at killing. He also has no issues with imbibing magical properties in his tool's for slaughter, as it pleases him that they kill better.
But hiding behind a wall throwing fire? Dirty tzeentchy tactics.

There's a weird misprint that occurs in three places (rules page, army list, summary) with the Bloodcrushers. They've been given a 6+ save rather than a 3+ save. Complete oversight I know - but everyone makes mistakes. I'm sure that'll be fixed in the errata.

Yeah, i typed up the OP during a lull at work on my phone, so sorry i didn't respond to any questions right away.
Was going through the codex and had noticed many smaller errors, but the straw that broke the camels back (at least for me) was on page 37, beginning of second paragraph.
"A Lord of Change's appearance is as bewildering as it terrifying..." there should be another 'is' in there: "A Lord of Change's appearance is as bewildering as is it terrifying..."
...and like i had said in OP, i've noticed a plethora of other small grammatical errors and omissions throughout this book in particular. I honestly don't remember seeing a codex this poorly edited in living memory.

I've noticed a couple of errors, I know at least one word somewhere in the fluff section had a few spaces inserted in the middle of it somehow.
But overall nothing I haven't seen in other novels. Nothing as bad as the Dark Angels codex leaving the weapon type off the Plasma Talons. The human mind is amazingly capable at filling in the blanks subconsciously, so the previous missing "is" discussion from earlier is no surprise. I know I didn't notice it when I was reading through.
