That is a LOT of dakka, so I love it. I like that you added in the skyshield instead of the aegis line. a 4+ invuln is infintely better than the lousy cover save which is negated rather easily these days by quite a few armies (and that trend seems to be growing).

If it were me, I'd try and get in a shokk attack gun on the big meks. AV14 will need to be practically glanced to death, but that's nothing out of the ordinary. Let us know how it works on the field!

I would love to get some shokk attack guns, but that cover save for the boyz is so important. AV 14 is a huge issue, but I just ignore it and all is well. I would not run into HUGE issues if I were going against a double or triple land raider list... I'll take my chances I think.

Watch out for the bat rep of this list coming iris Tuesday!

With Chaos, Tzeench would probably turn your hands, feet and face into
scrotums, complete with appropriate nerve endings. Then Khorne would
force you and all your friends to fight to the death using your new
scrotal appendages. Once they get tired of that, you get tossed to
Slaanesh who <censored by order of the Inquisition>, until you finally
end up in Nurgle's clutches and he uses you as a loofah.

When you say "30 boyz", are they naked or do you give them some weapons ?
Would be a shame not to include some big shootas in there
Same for the sluggas, do they include a Nob ? They might not need a PK Nob, but maybe at least a Big Choppa one ?
Your 30 boyz would look pretty stupid otherwise if they were facing say ... a rear AV11 Tank ?

figtha ace is called flyboss now and gets bs 3 against EVERYTHING love you "death from the sky"

anyhow, i would skip that landing pad and go for agies instead, just my opinion going to ground behind it and still use snap fire to get those fliers down with em lootas, syill the same BS!

Yah the biz are naked. I needed to shave points to get all the goodies in there. I would hate to drop a dakka jet just for some klaws that may very well die before reaching combat.

Also their arent to many av 11 rear armor tanks... I know IG has one... I'm wondering how tough they would be just to ignor. I'll have to give it a good test run.

The aegis line is awesome, but I'm running into line of site issues and deployment issues with it... That's why I'm going with the landing pad.

The AV 11 rear armor Russes are the Demolisher, Punisher and Executioner if I'm not mistaken
You might indeed not care about the Executioner, but the two others will murder your horde (especially if you are nicely bunched up on the Skyshield)

An Iron armed big beast could ruin your day as well
I know that PK Nobs are now very vulnerable due to challenges, but you can always refuse them, or take Big Choppa Nobz who are very cheap and expendable, yet still able to wound big thingies

I'd at least take 2 PK Nobs, and put them in the groups with the Big Meks. The Meks can step in for the challenge, and the PK is free to wreck havoc on the squad now.

As i recall it you have plenty of terrain at your place badsheep, perhaps take one warphead one kff *shrug* you could allways try one out, but for more effect two would be best.

Agree with the above post. Drop one KFF for one warp head. The chance of getting a free waaaagggh is nice. With that many boys aswell its hard not to get a cover from other boyz.

Yea the warpheads would be such an awesome idea. I need to shave points for the power klaws... It was killing me not running at least 2 or 3.

The 5+ cover save does sound a little lame, but it saves a great amount of Orks in the long haul... And since I'm running up the board, it's fairly important.

Ok but how about running the greentide formation? 100 boyz in one group along with a Random HQ of your choise.
Then if the other guys infront when they run, they automaticly join their group

What would you guys think about running a line of grots to give te boyz a 5+ cover save? Also I think to save some points I'll drop the landing pad and just try the aegis line without the quad gun... That's twenty five points saved so it puts me at 1990. Not sure what I could drop for the klaws or for the grot line... Maybe drop one KFF Mek, switch the other KFF Mek for a warphead and then add in the grot line for the saves...

Thoughts?

if you didnt know the gretchins also count in for that greentide formation rule when they run into the group behind em they join that unit
And the gretchins can allways go and claim objectives.

and hey the more wounds you got, the more pain for the guy you play against

Yeah I think I'll give that a go... Maybe even a shock attack gun instead of the warphead. Excited to see if this works better then my pure green tide.
