http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/2070/430896.page bout the bottom theres a datasheet (no idea how to upload sorry)for a unit called the "Rending Pony" that's "copyrighted" by GW. it seems like such an absurd unit that theres no way GW as we know it would let it, but its from '07 so I wanted to know how legal it is to use, could opponents refuse to fight it and where I can get a 28mm heroic scale pony?

Someone just made the datasheet and slapped a copyright at the bottom. But I gotta say, I laughed pretty hard about its "Rending Pony owns you" Special Rule.

But I gotta say: a twin linked assault 4 s10 ap1 large blast weapon sounds pretty realistic...

See I ask because I want to totally troll at my gamestore and use the Rending Pony but first I have to know if it is specifically allowed, and I heard it was from the GW site but was unable to find it. I just wanted to see the guys at my FLGS laugh as that thing destroys an entire army in 3 rounds. IMHO it should have the ability to split those 4 shots to up to 4 diff targets, THEN itd be worth 2000+1 points

Haha. Yea, and make the shots lance and melta.
Also, if trolling is the goal then nothing is stopping you from printing it out and saying its legit. Haha. Maybe even type up your own to put the rules more in line with GW lingo.
Then you could throw in your own sweet rules too. Lol.

But in 100% seriousness this is not a GW sanctioned unit.

Ah well, ill just ask my opponent if I can "Use unique stats for homebrew units." they should be fine with this, but that means this is gonna be a 1-trick pony (get it?

I hope he does... the GW copyright thing is the sheet layout used for apocalypse formations, which were available at the GW site so that you can build your own formations for apocalypse games.

And make sure you make its saving rule in line with the 'rending pony owns you' rule. "It may reroll all to wound rolls that aren't six, until they are sixes" That one really cracked me up. lol.

Nahh, a 2++ rerollable with 10 wounds is enough

not like anything could kill it. I doubt an IG platoon with frf srf for 6 turns could kill it.

this is true. Also, its part mechanized, it should be a fast vehicle with 20 20 20 armor and 200 HP.
