People shouldn't complain about what you use, as long as you don't take the attitude that you want to win at all costs. If you use a powerful army, but you're casual about it, people shouldn't care. They should take it as an accomplishment should they win. And they will win if you use the same list all the time. If people do care what you use if you're casual about playing, than they're just ranting about not being able to win and acting like jerks.

Would I be considered a TFG for cramming 2 Vendettas, a Punisher Vulture, 2 vet squads, CCS, PCS with 2IS in a bastion with icarus lascannon in 1000pts? I've been playing this list versus my roomates and just wondering if it'd be bad news to try at a tourney or what not. I was playing an "air cav" catachan force before it became actually "air cav" and haven't had a problem before but now in 6th I forsee me gaining poor sportsmanship or something.

As far as really ANY cheese goes, I say BRING I ON!!! lol dont stop playing because a few people cant handle them and break down. I'd be ecstatic EVERY time i brought one down! thats a 1/5 or more of your army right there! Im surprised as marines in your area, they dont try a lot harder to gun them down. My money says EVERY one of their lists is capable if they are playing it right.
Mostly i say kudos to you OP for coming up with somthing HARD to beat! perfect it and become unstoppable! just be chill about it!! be careful offering advice though, its not uncommon for people to be sore losers.

5 monstrous creatures is definitely unbeatable (You have FIVE! That's way more than any army has ever been able to field before! And they can even do that thing where they double their strength! OMG!) so you will certainly come across as TFG. You will just have to do your best to convince them that you're a fun person while you totally demolish them with your legit awesome overpowered army. Maybe you can throw them a bone once in awhile and let their dozens of scoring units fight both of yours near an objective sometime. Just to like, make them think they have a chance.

Don't worry about it, there are still certain armies that you'll struggle against so its not as if your going to annhilate your opponents, flyer lists are still going to be a problem. Flying monstrous creatures with big blobs of units on objectives is the most effective build I've seen from new daemons

Ah, sarcasm. Where would we be without you?
Three fliers in a thousand points, though, SwampRats? Yeah, it's fine at home because your friends know you play that way, but take it to a tourney and you'll be faced with whiners out the whazoo. I know, because I run a similar Elysian list, and even though I'm paying five to ten points over the odds for what are basically guardsmen with less heavy weapon options I still get those complaints.

Evileyes wrote:I can run 5 in an army, and I've been using them for a good while, so I have learned how to use them well. But, I think people will start to hate me for it. I can do really well against most other players with them, and I get told they are OP, and broken, and such.
220+ point FMCs are not overpowered/undercosted. DPs are instagibbed by STR 10 attacks. Examples of an overpowered/undercosted units are vendettas, beast packs, and eldrad.
Evileyes wrote:But in my eyes, they are really not all that bad, for one, they cost a lot, and usually don't make their point's back entirely, they are just really good for focussing on the thing's I really need dead (enemy scoring units, or big threat's to monsters like force weapon units)
'Earning its points back' is a limited measuring stick, and one I generally don't suggest. A unit of plagebearers will almost never 'earn their points back' but they are invalueable. A GUO squatting on the enemy objective might only kill 100 points of orks, but by preventing your enemy from holding a home objective it might win the game for you.
Start going to local/national tourneys. If you start becoming the big fish in your FLGS, its time to move on to better players. You might have to do a little traveling, but playing people who are better than you is the best way to improve your game and have more enjoyable games.
When playing people that you normally beat, handicap yourself. Try MCs without wings. By doing this you can learn some of the values from 'weaker' units. It can be quite insightful.

There are definitely ways of dealing them. Your argument comes across as the "I can't make a good army so I'm going to try to limit my opponent's army" method of trying to win. As long as the person isn't a donkeycave about it and doesn't contest things, it should be seen as a challenge. Even if you aren't going to win, you should work to get some idea of how to beat it.

Enough fire power will put each and every one of yours MCs down. I agree with the guy who says you may wanna travel a bit further, it might solve your problem on all fronts
But your opponents seriously shouldnt oppose your demons, i mean, i'd rather fight a single creature with 4-6 wounds than a blob of 30 boyz.
