Is it? Could it be? YES!!! In the bottom row! We get three, THREE! powered toilet cleaning brushes of doom.

Hooray!

Those maces are awful silly. Thank goodness they are just an option. A nice high tech looking stun rod /baton would have been a lot better.

edit: I missed one of the toilet cleaning brushes of doom in my excitement.

So Mantic posted on Facebook (instead of Kickstarter, idk why) that they're not sure now if they'll be able to ship next week. Apparently whoever is in charge of the KS posts spoke too soon, and the bosses weren't happy

Lol oh well. The whole "shipping early" thing basically meant it was going to hit my original expectation anyway. As long as I get it before x-mas, I'll be happy.

I was kind of banking on it to show up the week after the semester ends, so I could have something to so in the month break...

I wouldn't mind seeing the other 3 battlezones. May give me some incentive to move some stuff around in my Mars Attacks pledge if I like the last 3 more than I figured.

That's right, we haven't seen much other than the core terrain sprues. Damaged core, landing pad and the military one all looked promising in the concept art, I'd forgotten about them tbh hahah. I assume we won't need to fill out our Mars Attacks survey until after we have our Deadzone stuff, if so I might go in for some more terrain with MA pledge monies... though 14 battlezones *should* be enough. That said, 640K should have been enough memory for anyone according to Bill Gates at one stage too and we know how that worked out...

Quirkworthy linked something I posted recently, "Deadzone 40K" in his new post DZ Bits and Bobs and wasn't against it which made me happy. Someone else was talking about using Deadzone rules with other settings too which I thought was interesting. If people start developing army rules for Deadzone, it could become a platform for multiple settings, you could get things like balanced SMs vs Z'zor vs Aliens vs Martians which could be awesome. At the very least, I'll keep plugging away at Deadzone 40K since I think the Deadzone rules have a lot of promise for making the 40K setting enjoyable on tabletop. Just a quick plug in case anyone has some ideas they want to share for it ; p

Oh cool! The old Grenadier (I think) Future Warriors line. I've got a whole bunch of those.

Yeah, EM-4 owns those now but they are mostly the old Grenadier range, many sculpted by Mark Copplestone who has updated versions of some of them for sale as well. EM-4 are a great company, never had any problems buying from them or getting questions answered by Doug, the owner.

They look fantastic. I regret none of the funds I put forth. All $300+...love it.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Off Topic, but I'll never pass up a chance to praise Doug and EM4. I've purchased quite a few figures from them over the years and even had an article in the CombatZone Chronicles. His service to USA is always quick and affordable.

Doug is doing a great job of keeping some great miniatures in circulation at a great prices long after the original companies have folded. The Grenadier Future Warriors and Fantasy Warriors are two of the best, but there's also great stuff from metal Magic and others. Also their plastic battlemechs and incredible selection of cheap bases are great.

So... I received an email from Mantic this morning requesting updated address information, because I moved shortly after the survey was sent out. The person that emailed me said that they are shipping this week.

Meh, its probably that new customer service person who will get a severe smack on the knuckles for making promises the warehouse team can't keep

Or not, I'd be ok with that

Thanks for dumping the photos here Yonan, I was ogling them but too lazy to do that (and just recently got access to my computer, would have taken forever on my phone blah blah).

I think I'm gonna be a little disappointed with the overall amount of scatter terrain my 16-ish accessory sprues produce, but I'll be glad to have all of the railings and the ladders will be interesting if not useful for Deadzone (since things can just scramble up the walls). Maybe for using the tiles as Infinity terrain, don't they like ladders?

Still, I think I only directly ordered 10-12 of those accessory sprues, I've spent more money on less in the past I'm sure :p

Actually now it looks like the drums and cannisters are single pieces? So hmm. Cause there should definitely be two ladders and stuff so I think that's maybe a half accessory sprue? I gues 2 stacks of barrels, canisters, and two large crates per would be ok... Just gotta confirm if you get two of those or not..

Well the accessory sprue graphic boasted 2 ladders 2 canister sets 2 large crates 2 medium rectangular containers, 4 rails and 6 support struts plus the long pointy things and i dunno are those lights? So yeah I'm thinking that sprue is a half sprue, and if you get two of those for $5 or per selection, it should be quite fine. Still may need more scatter terrain though, battle systems here I come!

Yeah the sprues look very sparse which is about the only flaw with them I think. Must be something to do with the manufacturer Mantic uses, because WGF pack their sprues solidly with stuff.

If you ordered 10-12 of these, I'm pretty sure you'll have ample scatter terrain ; p Pretty sure you won't get less - if anything, maybe more, so yeah probably Mantic split the sprues into smaller sections for some reason.
Spoiler:

edit: Yeah it looks like in one of the pics, there's 2 accessory sprues stacked on top of one another, so it looks like it was split in half and you get 2 instead of 1. Just counted it off, yeah it's exactly what's in the promised sprue, just on 2 sprues instead.

Yeah, its what I figured. What I'm getting at though... I should have enough railings to probably save most of the half tiles for walkways and to use as partial walls places, with plenty of struts to support them and ladders to convincingly reach them.

I'm just wondering if 16x2 sets of mini barrels, containers and crates will be enough for some of the shenanigans I have planned . There will probably be enough scatter for normal games of deadzone but I was thinking of a warehouse kind of area with lots and lots of containers

Meh, I'm sure I have enough of them that I'll be sick of painting the darn things before its over :p

Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.

Now, all you FedEx guys are the courier shipping, right? I can expect my non-special shipping to come via USPS in the next couple weeks after the couriers go out. I'm eagerly awaiting it, but you courier guys do get priority. Also, I didn't realize Jake Thornton had written parts of Necromunda too. I knew he did the bloodbowl to dreadball transition, but I didn't realize necromunda was partially his baby as well. Getting the group from home who loved Necromunda to make the switch over will be even easier than I originally anticipated.
