Am i right in thinking the only kickstarter exclusive add on is thespriggen not including connell as we will certainly hit that stretch ? Cheers

Yes,... As far as a paid add on,.. The spriggan is it (I guess the spriggan sleeves would be as well)

So the sculpt is exclusive, but the deck will be used later on down the road for a Druid hero

Wow, that is a bucket o' minis.

About to cross 500K and only 75 backers or so away from 3000, with over 24 hours to go.

Any idea how much retail the base box will be? And how many minis it will come with? Basically, how good of a deal is the $100 pledge... it seems like a really good deal and I find this much more appealing than say, Reaper Bones, despite how good of a deal that was- because I am not an RPG player and would only be interested in the board game aspect using these kinds of minis.

They said Myth boxed set MSRP is 89$US

So the retail box is:
41 Miniatures (28mm Heroic scale): 5 Heroes, 15 Arachnid Minions, 15 Orc Minions, 2 Arachnid Captains, 2 Orc Captains, 1 Mini-boss, 1 Arachnid Boss

So for 11$ more than MSRP you get 130ish figures opposed to 41.

It seems like Boardgame RPGs are popping up to be a middleground for people who can't get into a full RPG system. The no Dungeon Master is super appealing as then the bringer of the box doesn't always have to be the runner of the game.

My understaning is that a Cyclops Boss is coming today,.. though I'd expect it to be an add on at this point,... but maybe a goal above $600k??? I think they have three more stretche to get us as high as $750k

also a lot of hints about the two trickster pledges that were made yesterday,... that is the potential of 2 mini-bosses being added to the game!

New stretch goals up through 800k posted! Reaaaally doubting that final one, but I definitely think the 650k is possible. MAYBE the 700k goal. I really hope we get there!

At this point, for the value of what you get here, $800K wouldn't surprise me!

Wonder if a 'follower' is an escort NPC or something.

Going to dig in the couch cushions for money...

My big problem is I have 3 sets off friends. Wargamers, RPGers and Non gamers who enjoy a casual boardgame.

*Wargamers can't handle RPG games as there are not enough rigid rules and a game to play, they lose interest quickly.
*RPGers are not all about buying 300$ of minis and don't seem to like lots of mini investment.
*Casual friends can't really wrap their heads around buying minis or RPG systems, but can play a boardgame if models are provided. They kinda get 'spooked' by Dungeon masters having to lead a game.

I am hoping this is a sweet spot smack dab in the middle of the gamer appeal matrix.

Wow, that does look like a lot of stuff for $100. I like the cartoony styling as well. It's like Munckin but with a much more dangerous edge!

I guess you could consider the lairs a type of terrain?

For 8 bucks you get a full set of 6 lairs. Not bad. Might make decent table dressings.

Hoping that we get that cyclops boss. Thing looks neat. Followers are an interesting idea too. Kind of like the hirelings in Advanced Heroquest maybe?

I'm curious who this 3rd party is. Maybe another Twilight Knight, or a Candy and Cola exclusive add on?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Oh trust me, I am all over the lairs... I am going to get extras for my other gaming systems because Lairs are a great concept. Lairs/Traps are going to be useful to anyone who dungeon games in any system.

Is there a way to purchase additional boss miniatures?

I think I want an extra Minotaur, but I don't see anyway to do this currently...?

Not at this point,... Unless you double up your pledge for a second whole set,...

But they have talked about an extensive post campaign pledge manager where you can still add money to your pledge,... Maybe they'll open up some more add ons at the point,...

I agree that the Minotaur is one of my favs!

Well, if you consider the current add-on prices, the minotaur would probably run you ~$20. If you plan on getting another set of lairs (like myself and many others), you're at $28 worth of stuff that comes with Captain level. At that point, it might be worth it to just get double-captain and have another copy of the game and another pile of minis!

Holy Moley!

A Knight of Twilight
Update #51 · Apr 23, 2013 · 9 comments

Myth and Kingdom Death are proud to present the Twilight Knight Mini-boss.

Kingdom Death is a nightmare horror board game with highly detailed, beautiful 35mscale miniatures. They really set the bar high for both miniatures and Kickstarters.

Early in the Kickstarter cycle Kingdom Death backed Myth. We quickly reached out to them. We knew they were busy, but hoped we might collaborate. We began to talk and decided that doing a Trickster Level and providing a Mini-boss was ideal. Keith got to work on the art transition and with the help of the Kingdom Death team fused these two amazing worlds in the solitary figure of the Twilight Knight.

As with all Mini-bosses, she will be accompanied by a stat card. However, unique to the Twilight Knight, Heroes who somehow defeat her win the cursed blade, the Twilight Sword. The only Orange item in the game at this point.

This Limited Edition miniature will be given for free to all backers at the Minion Level and above ($75).

We can't thank Adam Poots and his team enough for their generosity and effort in this relationship. They really love the hobby and are incredibly good people to know and work with.

Damn it I've been back and forth on this all day will I won't I and I was going to make up my mind in the morning but that was the final push I needed great that it's added free as well not that it wasn't a great deal to begin with.

From KD:Ms own update:

Note*
This model does not include any unique rules for Kingdom Death: Monster. It only has rules for Myth as a mini-boss. It will also be rendered at 28mm heroic scale so it fits within Myth's game. I cannot make any promises of the figures availability outside of Myth's Kickstarter. The intent of this collaboration project is to show support for Myth's campaign and show the good faith and brewing friendship between the two studios.

I have to give great respect, the Twilight Knight is not only free, but included at a level below where you normally get stretch goals.

Aaaaand, just got a KD update talking about this campaign. That should get the lucre flowing!

Worth..noting!

Not that it bothers me in the least, as I've got PLENTY of KD minis coming in from my KD: Monster pledge.

Something or "Myth Only" is OK by me!

Very cool indeed. I've been watching this KS from the start and was on the fence about it, but now it's just too good to pass up.

I like this pace - and holding out hope for $700K (almost certainly) and $800K (a long shot, but that stretch goal sure looks nice!)...

which are?

My main issue is there are 4 card sleeves
Skald
Spriggand
Item card
Regular size

Which is which?

Ah misread, so items are the small and regular are the big and one should need one skald and one spriggand?

Skald: They have the skald artwork on the back and are for the skald hero's hero deck.

Sprigga: Same deal as Skald

Item: They are sized to fit the item cards (Which are unusually shaped)

Regular: Sized to fit the quest cards and boss decks.

Item and Regular have the candle flame insignia on the back, with a plain black background.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh! I forgot to add that those numbers are contingent on getting the item deck expansion and quest deck expansions.
