Well i'd like to believe this. Some players here jumped on the CSM or CD bandwagon, but none of the good ones to the DA wagon. But this is another story.

Frogy is a troll, ignore him.
I play Dark Angels as my primary army. I've been able to do several viable lists. My only restriction at the moments is I don't have enough Bikes to make a pure ravenwing list. (( but two DA battleforce will solve that))
BUT Back to the actual topic
People like Tau. And according to the video they put out, I get the impression that they are going "Okay we're tired of trying to convince you to join us, so its time to throw down"

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

While not everyone might agree with the whole grimdark thing, it's nice to see that GW is at least embracing the new flavor wholeheartedly.

Well, i'm convinced that some players will jump on the tau as allies bandwagon and that is quite okay.
Frankly Tau is a bit too monodimensional for me. Mobility, firepower, and cc is in toto what i appreciate very much from an army. Necrons are an example.

Those are all of the aspects in the entire game. You're saying you only like armies that are great at absolutely everything. To this I say "duh".

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Nothing wrong about liking well-roundedness. And there are armies that have those attributes, but lack other things, such as numbers, a la Grey Knights and Deathwing Termies.

I an still concerned that the pathfinders will be the biggest pain to use as you need marker lights and almost everything is supportive of a mobile gun line like we want except that your pathfinders are stuck with heavy weapons and can not keep up messing up the whole synergy
Not to mention that vtecok does not seem to like fliers much from looking at DA makes me also concerned about a $70 model preorder. The riptide I will get anyway but not sold on the fliers look yet

On the flier point, maybe the collective nerd rage about the DA flyers will cause his editors to overrule any overcostedness

Why so much anticipation over Tau?
Could be that they have a strong fan and player base. The two previous Tau codex releases sold "exceptionally" well.
Also, The first Tau releases were game changers that effectively countered the MEQ dominated meta of their time The current rumors and sneak peeks of the upcoming release strongly suggest that the Tau have been re-designed as a check against the Flier-meta.
Last is that, for some reason, the Tau seem to be viewed in the extremes. That many players either love them or hate them but few are ambivalent. With the extremes come the attention(sorta like politics).
