OK so after a thoroughly enjoyed demo I've pushed the boat out and got myself some Nomad minis (I want my army of flurries and robots goddammit ).

Picked up a Bakunin jurisdictional command starter, reverend custodier, Daktari and an extra Zero. Any tips for a new guy? I've been watching the rules vids on YouTube, but I could use a little help building a list, as I'm still a little overwhelmed by all the different equipment choices and various associated stats

Best way to start out is to find another person interested in playing and do a few very simple 3 line troops and an heavy infantry matches. This will allow you to get the basic essentials down. Proxy the models you do have during this match for 3 moderators and a Mobile Brigada.

Once you feel comfortable and have a few games of the basic mechanics you can start diving into the stuff you own.

As far as a list with the stuff you have when you are comfortable enough to venture in to high points land, the highest I'd recommend stretching that force is 200pts without some heavy proxying.

Thanks for the tips, here's a couple of folks starting up at the same time so I don't think finding people to practice with will be a problem I tried to get a good mix of minis so I can swap things in and out to learn all the different rules.

That list looks pretty nifty, think I've got a ways to go before I get to that size game though

Thought rather than starting a new thread I'd use my fairly recent-ish one.

One question, which is probably one of the most trivial and banal questions asked, for the sharper of eye than me, is there and discernable difference between the round (not the tag/remote/etc bases that look a funny shape) infantry bases that come with infinity models and the small 40K bases?

Hope there isn't a difference, or that the difference makes things largely irrelevant. Only asking as I'm making some bases and I can't be bothered to have to fill in and smooth down the slots in the middle, when I could use one of the hundreds of 40k non-slotta bases I have sitting around

Thanks folks

They are both 25mm round bases. Corvus belli has used at least three different models of the too. So no problem using the gw bases, I did that a couple of times too.

The bigger remote/tag/objective bases are 40mm. Maghariba Guard has 80mm base. As far as I know there is no company making plastic or resin or any other type of 80mm bases.

Forever a pone.

I think the beveled edge might be a slightly different angle and the Infinity bases might be a tiny hit thinner but nothing to worry over! They aren't going to make any difference in play or aesthetically.

Also, the remote and tag bases which seem to have bits jutting out are just the same as any round base too. The extra bits are sculpted onto the miniature to allow them to stand in more elaborate positions and are ignored in gameplay. Many people just chop them off and bend thr miniature a little so it fits. Hope that helps.

Yeah. So do the different bases supplied by CB too... The bottom is nevertheless 25mm.

One thing to note too, Infinity measures from the middle of the base. Not it's edge.

Agreeing. Just pointing out the bases CB delivers aren't similar either.

(Rise from the depths - anchient thread!)
Mod Note:
If I have truly commited that abominable crime of threadomancy, please feel free to lock/delete/etc, bu tI didn't want to start a new topic on the same thing I asked in May...

So now the Warmahordes season is waning at the FLGS (and one of the guys is considering becoming a WarCor), infinity is going to be picking up soon, so I've been mulling over a 150pt list, just to get me started:
JURISDICTIONAL COMMAND OF BAKUNIN
──────────────────────────────────────────────────

GROUP 1 (Regular: 7/Irregular: 0):

REVEREND MOIRA Lieutenant MULTI Rifle / Pistol, Shock CCW. (1 | 38)
REVEREND CUSTODIER Hacker (Hacking Device Plus) Combi Rifle + Marker / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 38)
MODERATOR Combi Rifle / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (9)
MODERATOR Combi Rifle / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (9)
MODERATOR Combi Rifle + Light Grenade Launcher / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (0.5 | 14)
ZERO (Deployable Repeater) E/Mauler, Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 24)
ZERO Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (18)

2.5 SWC | 150 Points
ARMY CODE: eNozNVZVNTQ1UDXSM1U1UrNQM6wxVjMGkoZqhkgkSMRczQxMAkVUy0wASY0MFw==

Seems to cover all the bases, I've got a custodier for infowar shenanigans, a moira lieutenant (custodier provides purpose here hiding my real Lt as well), some moderators to bump up the orders, and two zeroes for disruptive tactics.
Just looking for some comments and/or criticism

The hacker isn't needed. Hackers can be hit or miss, depending what the opponent is bringing and how you roll. Regardless, the list looks fine. I'd be tempted to stick with Sin Eater and another Zero minelayer but I see no reason why ODD unit couldn't work.

If you're playing with link teams the moderators shouldn't be bad. They can give you two template shots for the cost of one order.

Cheers and happy gaming.

I actually didn't realise that I get the burst increase from the link team (I had it in my head they all need the same gun to get that), but now I can see that the link is all the more deadly

That +1B in Active and Reative turn for the link bonus, so B2 in ARO. Great part is if you do have a model with 2 of the same weapon you get a extra +1B on top of the link +1B bonus in the Active turn.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

And only now I notice the typo, I meant on the light grenade launcher, but I think it still applies. I think I'm going to be playing against PanO quite a bit so b2 gun capable of spec shot might be quite useful.

Just so you know, you don't get the bonuses with long skills, so it'll only be B1 in spec shot.
