Ya Think?

I get that they supposedly didn't think many people would use it, but come ON! How could you not at least PREPARE for it to be widely used?

Because they're Blizzard, and they haven't had a creative thought since '98.

If they really wanted to "Turn it off", couldn't they just code in the boss/rare weapons to be "Bind on Pickup?" or something like "Priceless; cannot be sold in the Auction Shop"?

Yep, they could. They could also make crafting better, too.

DDO did the bind on pick up for many of their more powerful drops, as well as some crafting stuff. I thought that was a good move. You could still buy/sell the "random drop" items on the auction house. I stopped playing a while back, though.

I think that's an understatement, for me it seems like the entire Diablo 3 itself is a bad idea, i mean yeah i like the idea of a Diablo 3 game but the entire way that Blizzard went around to make it was just one big idea in it's own way.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need

Always online was also a bad idea.

'Course, PS3 and PS4 D3 players won't have that problem.

When you design the entire game around a monetization system, of course it's going to be a bad idea.

Unless of course the PS4 requires you to always be online regardless of the game.

Unless of course the PS4 requires you to always be online regardless of the game.

Or D3 requires a connection to Battle.Net of course...

Considering right now that the PS4 is supposed to be making games available via digital distribution from the same day physical copies are released, there's a high likelihood that "Always Online" is going to be a part.

Haven't you guys been following the backlash of the XBox Durango "always online" rumors?

You mean the rumor that's been around for almost a year now? It's nothing new.

Microsoft was playing around with that idea for Windows in third world countries.
