Ok sorry for the over dramatics in the subject but here's the deal....... I need help.

Im looking to purchase my next crew and I just dont know where what to get. I currently own a Ramos and Kearis crews with a few extras and the Orgetas. Now do I go with Hoffman that which allows me to mix and match with my favoured Ramos crew and giving me a new Guild option, do i get the Rail Crew to further adapt my Ramos and mainly Kearis crews or go for something completly different ???? please give me your 2 cents.....

Rail crew, rail crew, rail crew.

Malifaux, IMO, gets better when you have greater faction selection. When you can pick your Master after the strategy is determined is huge, and having two different style Masters and a potential Henchmen as Leaders, you can make the most of it.

Plus the rail crew synergizes well with Ramos and Kaeris...

If you're planning on starting a new master, the Rail Crew is indeed great. Plus, you'll be expanding on the Arcanists some more. Mei Feng is also MS&U and fits well with Ramos and Kaeris.

Hoffman is nice because he can take Arcanist constructs, but he cannot take "MS&U Assets" unless they're also constructs which is much of what is contained in the Kaeris set. That basicaly leaves only the Large Arachnid, I believe.

Regardless, both are still a great way to expand your force while still having models relevant to one another.

Thanks for the comments seems like focusing more on expanding a faction may be a better choice not to mention tat I really want to get a rail golum in the future aswell.

Im not as keen on the rest of the arcanists if I did get rail crew is there any trait that I would be lacking between Ramos, kaeris and Mei. From a mission planning aspect think ive got speed covered with kaeris and Mei and the numbers game or defence with Ramos.

The Arcanists are rather lacking in speed much of the time, but if you're looking for a model aside from Kaeris that can fill this role, consider the Mechanical Rider. Synergizes well with Ramos. Additionally Hoffman himself can take it too.

To add even more more speed & diversity to that group try Johan, Willie & a couple of Union Miners, not only are they excellent objective grabbers, with the companion mechanic they can chain together quite the M & SU beat down.

They also have the added bonus of making Izamu cry!

Lol after all this I went with 2 options I got the rail crew and rail Golum after the kicking I got from them last Friday I was in love. And because I had managed to sell off some old 40k stuff I got the relic hunters box set.

I have started painting as well I'll put up a post soon to keep me motivated:-)

I think that is a good combo. I have all the 10T except Relic Hunters. They are on the list, but not that high on the list. Thus far, I have played Rasputina, Mei Feng and Jacob Lynch. At the VERY least, it means it is difficult to build a crew to play against me, since you never know what I will be bringing.

There is such a thing as "real" life? I thought this was it!

I jest. I kinda envy you guys with all your games and trying out new stuff! I have 3 crews and so far have only clocked a single game with one of them. :(

Have you tried Vassal? I decided to jump into the game in Jan. I've gotten in 4 games in that time. The last one, by happenstance. Vassal lets you play from home, but not with the minis.

Vassal is also how I'm planning on running the Dakka Campaign
