Does anybody know the ruling on the speeder taken by a group of 6 bikes or more? Does it count as part of the unit? Azrael and Sam as HQ that would make it a scoring option and able to scout with the bikes. Or does it just simply exist as a separate unit that does not count toward fast attack unit?

All those questions and more are clearly printed in the codex.

Look under ravenwing combat squads, I believe it's there

Ok so I looked it up and it says you just count them as individual separate from the bikes but doesn't say if they are still scoring with Azrael or Sam as HQ. Army Builder qualifies them as troops still.

If it doesn't say they are scoring, they'll follow the normal rules for scoring units. Which are pretty clear as to whether they score or not.

Because they are troops. Use the rulebook for rules and army builder to build armies.

Vehicles are only ever scoring if they have a special rule that says so. Just being troops doesn't do that.

That is why you always take Speeders as Fast Attack choices as they'll be scoring in 16% of the missions (if possible)

True, but taking them as part of a RAS confers the Scout rule to them as I understand it, as they get the RAS special rules. This can be useful.

Mmmhhh good point, though I only use them with Typhoon, putting MM on the ABs, so scout is not useful in this case

the scout move is more useful than the deep strike for you then. It allows you a 12" redeply for LOS on a tasty looking armoured target

I didn't think the land speeder picked up the unit special rules, because it is purchased from a separate entry with its own rules. The attack bike is explicitly part of the ravenwing attack squad unit as it is listed in the same entry and hence would pick up the relevant rules, but the land speeder is a separate thing.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

This is correct. Page 101 - the Land Speeder is chosen from the Support Squadron entry, so you use the rules for it listed there. It does NOT pick up the rules from the Bike Squad entry.
