So in the new Daemons Codex Khorne Deamons have hatred towards Slaanesh Daemens and vice versa, and Nurgle Daemons have hatred towards Tzeentch Daemons and vice versa.
Now I may be wrong but in the 40k 'verse hasn't it always been Khorne & Tzeentch that primarily hate each other, as Khorne 'don't do magic' and Tzeentch hates the unsubtle way of Khorne?

None of them like one another and yes it has always been the case that Khorne loathes sorcery. But the oppositions you describe are certainly not new to this codex.

Those particular pairings have been the case rules-wise as far back as 1st edition, and the Realms of Chaos books. Used to be, if you took Daemons of one god in your army, you couldn't take *any* from the opposing one AT ALL.
So, no, Khorne and Slaanesh, and Nurgle and Tzeentch have always been the pairings.

To be fair Khorne hates everyone equally. Nurgle kills without the glory of battle, Slaanesh is too swishy, and big T well magic and Khorne don't mix

I don't know about the older Chaos Space marine books, I have the 4th edition and 5th edition book. (Or if there is not a 4th edition book, whatever was before 5th)
In the 4th ed book, it is Khorne vs Slaanesh (pansies vs brutes) and Nurgle vs tzeetch (decay vs change)
And in the 5th ed book they noted Khorne vs Tzeetch and Nurgle vs Slaanesh.
So this now is nothing new

Its always being Khorne (outward emotions like rage) vs Slaanesh (inward like pleasure) and Tzeentch (change and innovation) vs Nurgle (Decay and ruin)

In RoC, the rivalries were Khorne vs Slaanesh, Tzeentch vs Nurgle. Daemons of one god always were subject to hatred of daemons of the opposing god.

I'd have thought the non-opposite chaos gods get along fine, except the aforementioned Khorne and Tzeentch.
Khorne + Nurgle = biological warfare
Slaanesh + Tzeentch = sex changes
Nurgle + Slaanesh = herpes

Loved this, if only Khorne and Slaanesh could get on, Khorne + Slaanesh = Sexy Murder.
Also as to the OP, as mentioned these pairings are not new, they have been mentioned in books as old as realms of chaos and newer, they can change in some but in general they all hate each other, the way I've always seen it though is as follows:
Khorne Hates Slaanesh / Slaanesh Hates Khorne (Outer vs Inner Emotions, Pansies vs Brutes etc)
Khorne Hates Tzeentch (Cowardly Magic users)
Tzeentch Hates Nurgle / Nurgle Hates Tzeentch (Change vs Stagnation)
All in all, they all hate each other on some level though. Leading me to the pilot for a hit TV show.

Tourette's?
OnTopic, I thought it was a fairly established standard that:
Khorne + Nurgle vs Slaanesh + Tzeentch
They plot against each other all the time, but due to their domains and "personalities" they tend towards specific alliances (however temporary) and a specific focus of their dislike.

Wait so whats the beef between Khorne and Slaanesh? I get Nurgle vs. mr. unspellable name because its the choice between resigning to fate or being ambitious, but why would Khorne hate Slaanesh more than anyone else? Slaanesh is the god of pain and pleasure, and Khorne is the god of being a raging donkey-cave but I don't see them having any more differnce than say Slaanesh and Nurgle...

Rage -> Outward destructive emotion.

Well, Khorne and his cultists just kill things.
Which kinda makes it difficult for Slaanesh and his/her own minions to promote prolonged pleasure and excess.

I was gonna suggest The Odd Couple, but while Oscar is clearly Nurgle, I can't figure out who Felix could be. Not angry enough for Khorne, too prissy for Slaanesh, too fixed in his habits for Tzeentch.
