So what unit do you find funnest to use or think would be funny (even if it is a point sink)

Anything with a jokaero as monkeys make everything funny.

A lot of people mock me for taking them, but every so often I dust off my fully kitted out Vanguard vets, with their jump packs and TH/SH. And when I set up their non scattering heroic intervention (lets me assault after a DS), and pull it off, most of the nay sayers watching understand the joy of it.

I have fun w/ the Shunting Gk Dreadknight. I love the Incinerator that ignores cover.

Coteaz is a ton of fun too. I love when people Deepstrike right next to him. I had Chaos players do it 3 turns in row. Guess they were trying to be Chaotic.

Funnest? I'd say it's the death company dreadnought with blood talons, when given prescience. Roll to hit, roll to wound, oh look at that, 6 more attacks, roll to hit, roll to wound, oh, look at that, 6 more attacks.

Combine-harvester dread madness, is hilarious.

Currently, my most fun unit jumps between my Scarabs, my Bargelord, and one particular Lancetek.

My scarabs tend to tarpit units, eat tanks, or generally draw the ire of every single opponent for just being there. I only have one unit, and it's only a unit of three. True, I do have two Spyders to make more, but still.

The Bargelord tends to spend my enemy's turn 1 making night fighting cover saves, only to flat out into my opponent's DZ (next to some tanks or whatever) in my turn 1. Much panic arises, especially if I decide to veil my Teslammortals in to join him.

And one particular Lancetek has managed to grab me several Slay the Warlords on his own (and not by killing lone ICs, but with Precision shots that the enemy failed his LO,S! on), as well as grabbing a few VPs from finishing off the last models of stubborn units (like that 1 marine left in the unit that passes every single armour save), even after the rest of his unit has been killed.

I would also nominate my Annihilation Barges for an honourable mention, one in particular that managed to eat a squad of Thousand Sons (~9 or 10 of them; tesla ftw) in one round of shooting.

Love my renegade ogryn berserkers: Ogryn, with melee weapons, feel no pain and combat drugs. D6 attacks rolled for randomly at the beginning of each combat round. Onslaught combat drugs mean you also roll a d6 at the end of the combat round two. Roll equal to or above what you rolled for attacks, no worries. Roll under what you rolled for attacks the ogryns take that many wounds each. They are a laugh right. They either roll really low on their attack rolls and just soak fire *or* they charge in under fire, unleash a massive wave of melee attacks breaking an enemy strong point and all dropping dead on the spot when that has been done.

Also love my nurgle plague ogryn as well. They have high toughness and feel no pain, but also only have melee based attacks. The models look so creepy, though, that any time they hit the table my opponents become obsessed with destroying them to keep them away. I have yet to see them even reach close combat after many games with them on the table. They die every game, but before they die they soak a ton of damage that pretty much means some of the really nasty parts of my army reach the enemy lines intact and can cause maximum damage. Oh you killed my plague ogryn? That's OK because while you were shooting them my nurgle marked termies pretty much walked right up to your line and assaulted.

The first unit is so much fun because it destroys itself in a burst of massive assault, while the other is amusing to play because I have yet to even get the unit into combat it causes so much fear in my opponents. Almost considering *never* letting it get into combat so that they mystique is never ruined. Once they see how unimpressive they are in melee my opponents might stop worrying about them so much.

Oh god they are expensive, and really situational. But they are my "funnest unit". I play them for fun, not to win, and they actually rarely let me down.

I was rereading the Eldar Codex earlier, and came across the mention of Biel-Tan's Court of the Young King... the Craftworld's Exarchs all bundled together into an elite unit. Only, of course, that's not actually possible. So it got me thinking...

With a double FOC, you can get 4 Phoenix Lords into one unit. That unit can then of course cosily get carried forwards in a transport.
How badly would you poop your pants if you were on the battlefield and saw Fuegan, Jain Zar, Karandras and Asurmen all bearing down on you?

Anyways, dropping that template on someone like "OK, 4 guys under the template... that's 40 S4 hits"

Sentinels w/ Lascannons. They maybe a joke but at least they are a funny joke.. that can get the drop on your rear armor.

For a serious answer, however, I will say my recent experiments with Celestine, Jacobus, a Primaris and a Blob of 40 Infantry with AC/Power Axe/Melta Bomb were pretty hilarious.

I really like using the Tau Stealthsuits. I don't actually use the elites slots in the Tau codex (current 4th edition one) but when I pull them out, it's always fun.

on topic i love the very idea of tankhamma tankbustas..... it just makes me on the inside. orks why you so silly?

I'm kind of fond of my 800pt terminator death star squad. 10 assault termies with 5x TH and 5x Lightning claws, plus Marneus Calgar and a Chaplain in Terminator armor. Not very useful at range, and even more ridiculous in transports. But I have yet to find a unit they cannot steamroll over.

Vulture gunship with TL punisher cannons. Because someone looked at the LR Punisher and realized the best way to improve it would be to give it a second punisher cannon and make it fly. Averages 20 STR 5 hits a turn (re-rollable BS 4 with 23 shots), and has vector dancer to give a nice "**** YOU" to the whole "flyers have maneuverability problems" thing and go wherever it wants and shoot whatever it wants. Including rear armor on your tank, where it averages 6 HP per turn removed. But even when it fails to kill something the look of despair on your opponent's face when you count out the 23 dice is just FUN.

They're Forge World from the Seige of Vraks book (can't remember which one of the three but I'd guess one is from book 2 and one is from book 3)

A CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT is the only vehicle which can transport a CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT. Double the fun!

My favorite is the CRASSUS ARMORED ASSAULT TITAN with a CRASSUS ARMORED ASSAULT VEHICLE launcher with under barrel Marbro launcher.
Honest to goodness my favorite has to be anything absurdly large and CREEEEEEEEDD, such as a Leman Russ squadron of punishers with Pask and heavy bolters. Outflanking with 60+ s5 shots. Seems pretty funny if you ask me. (And this happened to ME mind you)

I have to say my Eldar guardians would be my funnest unit in my Eldar army. Every game, they always do something completely against the odds that makes a hell of a lot of people very angry bunnies. "What's that? My squishy little guardian squad isn't in range of your ridiculous number of hand flamers? What a terrible shame."
I then proceed to launch 36 shuriken catapult shots and 8 scatter laser shots with guide and doom right into Saint WhatsHerFace and her full squad of jump pack sisters. It was a bit of a waste in the grand scheme of things but it got me slay the warlord and stopped linebreaker, which would have no doubt made me lose the game.

I love the Thunderwolves! Mighty and striking! It is super fun to take a big unit of them and charge towards the enemy as they helplessly flee. (also lol to the above posts.)
