Okay... well first off I will NOT get Plague Marines. I just dont entirely see the full effect of them. plus I am going to try to keep this on a single FoG so I cant even get them if I am going to get termies and Noise Marines. and honestly, I dont really like Nurgles stuff anyways... Yeah the MoN gives you +1 toughness and thats nice, but I just REALLY dont like Plague Marines . Also what are these "zombies" you guys are talking about? And I also have NO IDEA how to magnetize stuff and even if I did I would probably fail...

When you take Cultists and Typhus, Typhus gives you the option to make them into zombies. Read his profile please

Plague Zombies are slow and purposeful, crappy HTH units that refuse to die. Good for holding objectives, protecting big characters and pillowing big enemy nasties. The problem for me is large numbers of crap is still crap. For objective holders they are great but for objective takers i don't want them.

Plague Marines can do everything except provide volume of fire because they simply cost too much and long ranged fire. Though 2 plasma rifles mitigates a lot of their problems... Just get them within 24" and they will slowly whittle down an enemy. Of the 4 cult marines it may be the best but it does not meet the criteria for firepower due to low numbers..

Say you have 600 points to put into troops...
5 - Plague Marines w 2 PC = 145 so you are going to have 20 plague marines with 8 plasma cannons...
5- Noise Marines w 5 sonic blasters = 100 points so i am going to have 30 noise marines that can put out 90 S4 shots that ignore cover.
5- 1000 Sons =150 points so 16 1000 sons and 4 sorcerers hopefully zapping something...

Survival - Plague Marines but 4++ save of 1000 sons is second. Noise Marines - have numbers in their favor.
CC - Noise marines I5, Plague Marines Blight Grenades, t5 and FnP as welll as poisoned weapons...
firepower - Noise Marines and 1000 sons are better.

Plagues are the best at survival and CC and still a close third place in firepower due to plasma guns.
EC are best at firepower and probably second best at survival due to numbers and second best at close combat due to numbers and initiative.
1000 sons are second at firepower and survival but distant third at close combat.

Berzerkers - not mentioned are best at CC due to WS 5 and rage but lose out on firepower due to no range and survival due to cost.

So to me, the best are Plague Marines with Emporer's Children being a close second. Berzerkers and 1000 sons are more for fluffy builds or specific purpose.

Well I gave it some careful thought and i came to an answer. I will get them, later, I would like to get a strong army together for my CSM and finish that. and the only two gods that will feature in my army will be Tzeentch and Slaanesh. But I will definetly get them eventually. Unless of course if I have a problem and it turns out Nurgle is gonna be my best friend, then I probably wont have a Nurgle themed list.
