Anima Tactics and Relic Knights both have wonderful anime aesthetics and would look incredible on the right boards! Also, after seeing your urban DZC boards, I want to get them to play the new Robotech game on!

Seconded. A modular urban gaming board sounds great, but I need to decide if I should wait for this one, or go in on that other kickstarter one. The other one is about 2.5 times more expensive, but that does result in extra tiles and modularity. So without knowing anything about this one, the decision isn't so simple. But that other one doesn't seem to be given any additional value for backing vs. waiting to buy, so maybe I should wait anyway.

Here is what it would look like as getting the detail or texture is easy for us to do. You can fit 4-6 tanks on the road (10mm) or 1 40k sized tank with road space to give on either side.

We would love to post something asap. But making sure it is perfect and exactly how our partners and us want with also feedback from the community as we will be showcasing for people to see, feel and play on. This does take some time though, although we very much understand showing it soon is very beneficial and we really want to. We will publish pictures and more once we have the green light. We are already wowed of what we have done with our partners too but getting the presentation right is equally important too. So we sincerely thank you for your patience on this matter.

The Hellscape board and the Anime Battles board are going to seriously tempt me, what with me being involved in the Robotech KS and a rather enthusiastic Hell Dorado player. I can't wait to see them completed!

I've been making modular boards for 40k for years now and am never satisfied with doing it on plywood. Its just too heavy. Plus they are always deteriorating in some way or another. Sand comes unglued and little specks of foam I use for contour always peek out hear and there. Im so tired of maintaining them and could really go for some hard plastic 2X2. I could just never bring myself to fork over the 250+ USD for a RoB.

Im infatuated with the FW city fight RoB tiles but no way am i willing to pay what they are asking. I would love to see somekind of cheaper alternative to them. I noticed the GamesNGears urban board but Im skeptical that it will be compatible with my grimdark terrain pieces.

Anyway, Im in on some 2x2 plastic and I really hope this gets off the ground.

Our 6 by 4 will be 100USD. Reason why we can do this is we have been able to purchase the raw material in large bulks due to our success in China with our Felt surface gaming boards.

Our Games & Gears gaming tray are unique as you can place your gamer aid and also roll dice on our Games & Gears gaming felt dice trays too. Keep the board clean with your armies and the war torn cinematic feel our battle boards bring. It was very important for us that the design was built around the table top war games. So you do not need to put dice under models to balance them or you do have to have dice flying all round the table.

It also makes the game more cinematic without the gamer aides on the gaming table.

Regarding Helldorado. We are super psyched. Bringing the depths on Hell to the battle boards is really a dream come true to us gamers. As now we can have demon worlds (which crosses over so many war games), we are also big fans of Diablo 3. We want the Hellscape board to be a piece of battle board art and the same time when you see it, you would think "Welcome to Hell" .

Anime Boards is another soft spot for us. Huge anime fans here with Ninja Division (the crew behind Robotech). John also being a co-owner of Soda Pop. The anime wars battle boards are endless in great concepts and design.

We have had a look at the final draft and have asked our developers to make some more amendments. It's been a while in the works. Hoping next week or worst case scenario mid/late May.

ok G&G I WANT your Sci Fi City board!! Just backed Deadzone and your boards are the best match for this game. My wallet is bursting!!!

If the boards are also generic enough in scale to work with the Robotech game, that would be great.

Hoping someone from Games & Gears is monitoring this thread, here's some questions I have been thinking about:

Will you still be offering pre-painted boards? If so, at (roughly) what price?
Will the kickstarter have a lower target that the last? Or will it be the same?
Do you still use the same clips for sticking them together as before?

I'm really looking forward to this one kickstarter. For some reason the Secret weapons one doesn't appeal to me...

I would like to ask will your boards be compat with SW tiles?

I'd guess 'probably not'!

I think they mentioned that they wold be the same height as the RoB FW/GW boards though?

I believe they're being made to be compatible with GW tiles, which are slightly taller than SW tiles.

They are compatible with exactly what Alpharius has stated

And when will the KS start?

Aiming for June 2013. But penciled in for June/July. We have some amazing industry artists working on the textures and will reveal more when we can with our Partners.

As a co-owner of a gaming group based in PA, I know us getting our hands on at least 3-5 sets of the 4x4 seems like a must.

I love the idea of texture without hindering terrain placement and model standing.

Just awesome, looking forward to the cobblestone(Mordheim), Cracked Earth and Urban(40k).

The g&g board is very similar to the ex illis boards

I've wanted my own modular table for Warmachine for a while, but have been rather lazy. At $60 for a 4x4 that would roughly equal what my own monetary+time commitment would be. Can't wait to see all the options available when the Kickstarter launches.

A Neo Tokyo board would be freggn' sweet. I could play GITS on the tabletop how cool would that be.
