In the warp, searching for Marbo

Not really sure where this belongs, but if I kit my CCS commander with two bolt pistols, does that affect his range combat? Like twin-linked bolt pistol attack? Don't have my book right now, and I'm using ARMY BUILDER and I can switch out both his pistol and Close combat weapon for pistols.

After all these years of searching for Marbo...he found me. Heretics beware! He's back!

Only if they have the gunslinger rule. Anything else is just like having two ranged weapons, you have to choose which to fire.

I thought having two pistols gave the gunslinger rule.

It dose, I run my CCS with two plasma pistols and it works great. At 12", my CCS is throwing out 10 plasma shots.

I don't mean to sound rude, but my heart sinks every time I read this.
I thought this was a legitimate question when I clicked the thread. This isn't a rules question, it's a 'I can't be bothered waiting to look up an easy to find rule'. The forum is not a rulebook replacement.
And if you're at work, do some work! Look at your book when you get home.

Sorry, rant over.

The trick, in these cases, is to make it an easter egg hunt, so they can find out for themselves, while it seems like fun!

the rule you seek is on Page 52 of the book with the ISBN-10 1907964797

True, but someone always spoils the game. Every time someone gives a straight quote. No fun

And yet every time I ask a question to make a poster think about it or ask "what does the rule on page x say?" I am called "that guy".

There are two different schools of thought on it, and they both have good reasons behind their positions. No need to be mean about it; as long as we're helping our fellow gamers understand the rules, both groups are doing a nice thing.

Actually you're doing the same thing I did, You're not that guy.

That guy gives a direct rules quote for a rule that can be answered by reading the rulebook.

The only difference between what you and I did, is I gave them the ISBN-10 so they have to find out what the heck that number means before they can continue.

I don't mind b/c a lot of time I am at work and do the same thing. It is useful to be able to ask at work.

But each time you do, you're using this site as a replacement for your rulebook.
