Hey all! I recently learned how to weld so I decided to try fabricating a model. The entire model is steel, there are no plastic or clay components.
The Landa is thirty inches long with the Iron gob dropped, has a twenty inch wingspan, is a foot tall at the highest point, and weighs thirty pounds.

That thing is fantastic, I hope you've made some custom rules for it

If its too heavy, we'll just reinforce the table!

It's stupid, rusty, flashy, junky, cobbled together and looks like it would fall apart as soon as the engines started, if that even happens.

It's... just perfect for the Orks. Looks awesome! Good job!

Surely any board you put it on would snap under the weight?

That said, I know nothing about engineering, and my WIP board is made from polystyrene and foamboard.

Ahh, that explains it. I've always played on wooden tables, with terrain atop. The model doesn't have a flight stand and counts as an immobile vehicle once it deep strikes , so barring scratching paint when you set it down it shouldn't be a problem on most gaming tables. I fully intend to have Apocalypse games with it.

Just throw it on the table and whatever it hits is autokilled. No scatter dice.

Looks better every time I see that beast. Love that it’s being held up with chains in a few of the pics as well.
