On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

For of my I.G. allies, I'm going for a marine codex. I can't decide which chapter to use though. I was going to do black dragons but I can't paint black. Let me know if you have any suggestions for the chapter.

Dark Angels. Azrael has really good bonuses to manpower armies, and Dark Angels and IG generally work well together, though this isn't from personal experience, rather what i've been told.

Unless you are doing something cheesy with a character and a blob squad, IG really dont need SM allies. I think it makes them worst because the points spent on marines dilutes what guard are good at.

Regular Dakkanaut




Dark Angels and Space Wolves are the best combinations.

DA gives you cheap Libbys to place in Blob squads and have the cheapest scouts and tacticals.

Space Wolves give you psychic defense and multiple HQ slots. Grey Hunters are excellent as well.

I wouldve thought BA, but im relatively new to playing proper games of 40K, and im not too familar other them from what I read on here. I wouldve thought deepstrike abilities and vicious close combat would shore up the IG's obvious weakness.
