Looking good so far man, Glad those extra bits have a good home.

They have a home now, might never get painted, so they will be neglected. Probably doesn't count as a good home. But they will not be lonely, they will be joined by friends soon enough. God willing the dwarf bases will see use soon as well, still trying to get a dwarf team cheap. Just saw some previews of dwarf footballers made by Titan forge, so far they are the best looking I've seen, looking for other alternates as well.

@comrade, I think in the old rogue trader there were Khorne robots. They look like precursors to the Necrons.
@Shaso, There were so many good Saturday morning cartoons that need miniatures made of them.....then there were ones like "King Arthur and the knights of Justice" which should have the artists brought out and publically shot.

WooooHoooo..just won an ebay deal for two sets of Dwarf Bloodbowl teams. they have paint on them which Ill strip, but got it for less than two new sets. now I can finally get " The Frosty Mugs" off the sidelines

Guess I'll need a few more bases for these extra guys, but they can wait since only 16 make the cut and I usually run with 11 to start.

Also should be seeing some packages this week. No not from my family, none of them have ever bought me models for my B-day, only socks, underwear, and shirts. But I got a tracking update on my two mechs coming from paulsongames.com, and a few packages from other dakkadakka members that I've shamelessly hit up for some stuff. hopefully we'll be seeing some progress soon

i like how you have so little respect for the bitz you use you just take what you deem fit and use it in totally new ways... that launcher frames as these fenders /sidepockets (?) is probably the best detail so far on that truck! i for one am totaly sold on that!

also, the iron warrior you modeled with his hand on that beam... very cool looking... i like that, as it looks realist... as if he is trying to get him and his big launcher through this rough ground and needs some extra support...

@vik, thanks, the original plan was to have him as an injured trooper staggering out and grabbing the post as a means to steady himself. This could still happen with a lascannons shot to the chest. The bits are parts of GW kits that sit idle since I refuse to continue my chapter build.

Well I got bad ideas when I was looking at nerdfest's more recent works, and things have just snowballed did it again from there.

I read he comments about fo3, and am just lost. I know if I try it ill get hooked worse than on GW in the good ol days.

It got worse for me when I learned we can be taught how to use power armor, walk around with a Mini-gin(Assault cannon) Gatling laser, flamer, or just any rifle or shotgun. As I do this o the Ork like Super Mutants(Their whole situation reads like Orks) I mentally shout "Fer da Emperaah!"

Yep, just looking at the graphics I'd be hooked. I'd also be shouting "get some!!!" In the middle of the night waking the kids up too . All this has happened before, and it will happen again.

Vegas is even more graphically cool. I have an M-1 rifle it even makes the "Ping" when the clip pops out after I empty the rifle and reload ammo!

Quick update before bed. We have a friends child spending the night tonight, were going to feed/ride horses tomorrow, volleyball practice, and orthodontist s probably no updates tomorrow except from IPhone.

Got ideas for the engines and weapons, which will happen later, they will be mounted on bike bases.

LOL... it is frightening addictive mate... and i bet it is way to hard to just stay away from that game... i tried for almost a year... and then dave shaso and strike made me get it... and since then...

and that new concept for the biker skull... interesting... needs more shots... i think there needs to be a smallish gear to make the spinning movement of the wheel possible? as you don´t have any belts and suchlike to be seen atm...

We're on the same page vik , here's version 2.0, still not complete, but I think a little better. I imagine these guys as never standing still, always adjusting position, even slowly circling the person they have pulled over. They are not arrest bots, no arms to slap cuffs on the perps. They are only to catch up to, overtake, and if necessary shoot out the tires (legs) of escapees.



As you can see the round tube in back is the actual motor/drive mechanism. It will rest on the tire and spin counter to the tires causing the direction of travel. Turning is handled by shifting weights inside the tub hitch causes lean. I will attach a motor and police light on the back of this later, and it will be painted separately to allow for ease of painting.

Kids are still asleep, wish I was able to sleep more than four hours at a time. Might get some more done, but right now must find some ebay bits to make more of these guys.

the dual bolters look very good... and the treadroll looks very good... just try to add a bit of profile to the tube and you are golden...also now you need some exhaust...

Specifically the top row bits, but I think I have a use for the bottoms also. I just won't buy a bastion or aegis defense line for these separate and GW killing the kits stores hurts. Th only one selling them on ebay has me blocked from years ago.

Unless someone unscrupulous here might order them for me and I will send them some Paypal cash!

and theo... yeah that transponder would make a good looking engine...although the lantern bit on the top i would replace with some bit of the old DA conversion kit... you know, those lantern bitz?...:

Vik, I had used him also, but the problem came when I was trying to build my marine chapter. I emailed him asking how many of a certain bit he had, we arranged for me to buy them all. Payment made, parts sent, but missing some and other parts put in place of them. I contacted him, he fixed it at his expense, but it struck me funny that I had bought all his bits but he had extras to replace them....hmmm! I placed an order a week or so later to get another item, he shipped them in a plain white envelope, which was mangled by the post office and all that was delivered was a shredded envelope, I contacted him, no reply, but replacements came. Figured he was decent because he fixed the problem, but when I tried to order again I found I was blocked from ordering. I can't even send him a message because he has me blocked. I'd love to order bits from him, but since he doesn't even talk to me or have an open channel I can't get through. I thought about creating another eBay account, for my kids, but figured that might be unethical. What do you think?

I know he has a great reputation, but he blocks everyone who gives him less than five stars. I've heard other people with similar stories, so I figure his 1% negative is just washed by the constant good marks.

The light will stay as that's the strobing police light when in pursuit.
