Yeah, nice work on the axe. Good shade of red/purple works with the red seals, plume and eyes as well as the yellow.

@nafarious, use them as counts as adeptus mechanicus.
@shaso, darn skippy were the league, even though most of us have gone video game nuts lately.
@ruglud, thanks, but shaso posted in Vicks thread first. He nudged him, I just threw the bucket of cold water on him.
@dr. H, thanks, stole more ideas from 1000 heathens.
@vik, thanks, I like the color, wasn't liking the green.
Just back from grandparents again. Worn out from carrying old moldy drywall chunks. Enough to build a few rooms with if you wanted to have seams everywhere . Poppy saved every piece from when they built the house, to finish the basement. I've finished more projects than him in the last 39 years.
Might get something done before church tonight, might not.

will there ever be the chance to inherit the house? (may that day be long, long off...) ... maybe you should keep the drywall stuff then...after all money doesn´t grow on trees, you know?
but if it is bad dry wall then there is no point in keeping it...glad you got some stuff accomplished today even if it was non hobby stuff still need to accomplish something even if it is small...

I think the house will be sold and if anything is left that will be divided between the three grand kids. I'm not holding out for much, poppy's business hasn't been doing good or years and I think he's mortgaged the house without nanny knowing . Hey live on her government pension and an occasional good sale from his business. The drywall chunks are too small for anything good, and have been stored in an area of he basement that got soaked, so most has mildew or mold on it. Nothing worth saving, like the rest of the tuff down there. Luckily I oun someone who will come pick up the scrap metal in his basement. Old metal table legs, pedestals, file cabinets, rolling typewriter desks, and old metal suitcases that are beat to .
I'm going to check with a friend from church if he wants to haul it and get the recycling money, otherwise these other people just take it away for free and they keep the recycling money.
Did a little bit, finished the apothecary, but or got to take pics. Maybe later tonight.

No, I've learned going into their basement to wear hazmat gear, there's been a lot o progress to the point I was able to hose the floor down to get rid of nastiness from the last time the basement flooded.
Cleaned out most of a 7'x12' room that is supposed to become a bathroom. It's been in he works for 30+ years, and no nothing has been done yet , every scrap is something poppy has a plan for, but now he's 86 with the time to do things, but not the ability to do it anymore.
To give you an idea of the size o the basement, the neighbors have the same basic floor plan, and have 8 bedrooms and 3 full baths downstairs o when all their grand kids come for holidays. Poppy's house also has an attic area hat could be finished with 3-4 bedrooms and is studded out for 2 baths.

It is a large house, especially for the time it was built. Multiple family rooms.

Did you know? Houses with multiple family rooms, one was probably originally a parlour, and used for funerals before funeral homes were common? We can't imagine funerals in our homes today, but 100 years ago it was commonlace.

Yeah, growing up my dads side of the family was at the age where an entire generation was passing away. Felt like each weekend we were headed to Illinois for a funeral for one of his aunts/uncles. They were always laid out in their own homes. Even today when I travel through Illinois I have this sense that I'm going someplace that has the clear carpet protector on the floor and the smell of mothballs everywhere.
The grandparents have the entry room/parlor, formal dinning room, formal living room den, kitchen, breakfast room, wet bar(big enough to be its own room, 4 bedrooms two baths, the master bedroom has a sitting room of to the side and walk in closets big enough to be rooms of their own, laundry room and they enclosed their patio into a our season room. It is quite the palace. Unfortunately it's also in need of some updating. The only thing not out of date is the kitchen, since nanny is/was a gourmet chef. They have a huge (even to me) refrigerator that they spent $7k on, it's sub zero and I think I could comfortably fit inside if the shelves were removed, I might fit in the bottom freezer as well, but it would be snug........if I disappear for long check heir first

Home like that would be good for a large family of 3-4 kids and parents. wiring is likely still a lot of old cambric.

Assault sergeant jack
Still needs his pack finished, shoulder pads, and a holster for his bolt pistol.
Batters up
I guess his could have been him before becoming a marine.....
Or that's what they do during down time at the barracks.

Lol....Dave what a nice picture you've been painting on the canvas of my brain At Theo nice texture to the jumppack, but is it just me ordoes it look wrong attached a bit???
Thanks guys, this was one of my favorite builds from my custom chapter repainted.
He got dropped, so a little repositioning occurred, the initial version had him leaning forward more. I always imagined him using the pack to thrust himself forward towards his opponent with him shouldering aside a few bodies along the way. The pack is squared to the body, but the body is twisted in anticipating felling a big tree.
