This is 40k, the only ones it wouldn't totally outright suck in every imagineable way to be captured by would be the Tau.

Khorne= being hunted for eternity and having your flesh shredded, chopped and butchered over and over forever

Slaanesh = eternal rape and sadistic, meticulous torture forever. This is the reason the Dark Eldar are so bad... they are just doing Slaanesh's dirty work for awhile, consuming your suffering in the place of their own souls, but it's all going to the same place. Being captured by DE is one and the same as being captured by Slaanesh, you just have a bit of a stopover in realspace before your soul goes to the warp.

Nurgle= Slowly being consumed by maggots, bugs under your skin eating you, smelling the worst possible things, your body in constant decay forever.

Tzeentch= just as bad as the other three, but will mind-torture you. Kind of like a really really bad acid trip, a thousand voices whispering and tormenting, hallucinations, constant confusion...

Decapitator because he will decapitate you with his decapitating decapitator of decapitating decapitation and you end up being decapitated.

Or Marbo. I'm just really not into being demo charged.

I'd rather be eaten by a genestealer than captured by a Dark Eldar.

I'd think dark eldar's torture is worse than eternal torture in the warp, the slim hope that you'd die and be released from that hell will make the torture much harder to bear, while with eternal torture, you'd eventually just shut your mind down... Though, I'd also expect after they're done toying with you, the DE would then throw you to the coven and let the haemonculii experiment on you, turning you into a grotesque and having you fight your former comrades/friends/families just for giggles.

Though, saying all that, I'm not quite an expert in this, having never been in an eternal torture chamber myself, I really don't have much first hand experience in either method of torture.

IoM. At least the DE only torture who they capture, just being alive in the IoM is torture enough. "Minor genestealer infestation in remote region on planet? Exterminatus." "Oh, so your 12th cousin defected to Chaos, we've come to kill you to ensure you don't join him." "Hey, you were born into a life of endless poverty and famine, now we've conscripted you to join a military where you can fly through daemon infested space, exit 200 years after everyone you know is dead, and land on a world to fight an endless swarm of horrible creatures where you will never receive any recognition. If you survive, we'll summarily execute you for retreating."

At least if you're captured by Chaos you have a chance to be rewarded for collaborating. DE torture isn't much different (in terms of relativity) from starving every day of your life. Being captured by Tyranids probably isn't that bad. Necrons will turn you into a fashionable sweater, so that's pretty cool.

I'm not too sure about that. The idea of Slaanesh tearing me a few new @$*holes over my body and raping me with sharded dildoes and claws (forever) doesn't seem to compare to torture from Dark Eldar for the span of maybe a year.

I dont think thats what would happen though. I think Slaanesh would seduce you like It does everyone and you'd learn to enjoy the pain.

With Dark eldar...there will be no joy today. Nor ever.

The concept of being trapped with one of the Men of Iron always seemed pretty bad for me. Maybe it is just because of the end of the following story, where the guy is in constant suffering forever. Being the plaything of some crazy, empire destroying computer of hate whilst inside some kind of stasis time-loop thing would not be nice. At least the Dark Eldar would get bored or make a mistake and you would die. An AI could just torture you forever. Reminds me of the game/story I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.



Also, everyone goes to get tortured by daemons when they die anyway, so at least being captured by them would save some time.

Dark Eldar of course! All that torture sounds painful

For me, because of my towering intellect, I would be mistaken for an alpha plus psyker and thus I think Witch Hunters would be the worst.

Fabius learned all he knows from Urien, but not all Urien knows ...

How about no one? I'm pretty sure even the Tau have some pretty nasty interrogation methods.

Well Dark Eldar is a No-brainer for starters.

Also Iron Warriors would suck, being used as a slave until you starve to death or get your face stomped on by some angry chaos marine just because you weren't digging fast enough, plus there's always the exciting and wonderful opportunity to get sent running into enemy artillery as cannon fodder. Talk about a thankless job.

I can think of a lot of reasons not to be captured by Emperors Children too. < Anything Slaaneshi orientated really....

I could think of nothing more suffocating as to be a prisoner of the Word Bearers either, being forced to erect colossal temples dedicated to mad gods by equally insane zealots who will then shove their fanatic BS down my throat and attempt to brainwash me into serving as a cultist meat shield, either that or mutilating me horribly as an offering to the chaos gods.

Then you've got Fabius Bile as stated by previous posters.

I think in general getting captured in the 40k universe isn't a very good prospect.

Dark Eldar. People forget that the Homunculus strike deals with the wyches and warriors before any raid. Those raids are fast that way if any of them die, they can be brought back to the hammy and revived. all they need is an organ to revive you after making you a body. So why would the master Homunculus let a slave die permanently when they need the pain of others to survive and ward off She who thirsts? they will torture you, make you wish and beg for death, then kill you only to revive you and start over and torture a different way.
