1-Has anybody tried this? Take abadon and a sorc with gift of chaos and spam it at abbadon for buffs galore? If so is it as amusing as it sounds or just an expensive waste of points?

2-Typhus assaults a random squad, challenges, gets a seargant fed to him, but uses the destroyer huve to wrek havok on the squad anyway(as per the faq), and only the seargant can swing back at him. Is this a sound tactic, or would something I'm not seeing go wrong with it?

3-How many zombies is too many when I take typhus?

4-slaaneshi sorc with sensory overload joined up with tooled up noise marines with banner, 8 sonic blasters, two blast masters, all with cc weapons, and a transport for good measure. Solid unit or waste of points?

Since Abaddon recently got an FAQ saying that he must reroll Spawnhood and Dark Apothesis results I would say that would be a viable strategy now.

even so, Abby is already a beast in CC. Making him more of a beast in CC doesnt help him solve his drawbacks(expensive, can only be in one place at a time, can be killed by removed from game effects, can be shot to death). The chances you need abby to be more of a beast in CC are very slim. Im sure on that one game when the swarmlord/skarbrand is running away from buffed abby would be priceless, but it isnt going to happen often.

Now yes, he can get reroll armor saves. he could get an extra wound, he could also get a str5 storm bolter(joy!)

but otherwise you are investing a lot of points into a sorc with the worst lore to dasically do nothing.

Actually I tried this last night for giggles and ran him with a terminator sorcerer in a land raider with 3 terminators...

In the end, Abaddon basically ended up getting

(IIRC)

Icy Aura
Bloated
Multiple Boons = Strength of the berzerker +Crystaline body + Nothing (rolled too low)

But near the end of the game yeah, he basically just ran into the enemy lines and devoured souls...

It's an expensive tactic, but it works.

You cannot make him accept, any time this would be really really good for you the opponent probably wont accept. Also Typhus is pretty tough, unless he is fighting GK with a ton of hammers you probably want him to be tanking as many hits as possible so getting challenges isnt a good thing. Further the challenge would still stop his daemon weapon from doing anything, which is the real threat.

yeah it really depends on your list and the meta you are facing. Zombie spam isnt the best strat but it is good.

Yes, but typhus must accept challenges, and it is common to waste the uber models cc by challenging it with the seargant.

True, but you still feed him a sergeant, he still only does 1 wound with his normal attacks. Then he does some wounds with destroyer hive he would have been able to do anyway. Dont see it as particularly viable. Typhus costs a ton, is vunerable to ID and isnt that deadly. Zombies are awesome, but he is a very far 2nd beatstick to abby.
