Bull Centaurs serve their Chaos Dwarf masters as shock troops and temple guardians, and to them was entrusted the protection of the sacred fanes of Hashut, as they more than any other had been twisted into the closest semblance of the Father of Darkness’ image. The largest and most powerful of the Bull Centaurs bear the title ‘Taur’ruk’, hulking and savage creatures but just as keen witted and intelligent as their Chaos Dwarf brethren.
The Chaos Dwarf Bull Centaur Taur’ruk, designed by Edgar Skomorowski is a complete resin kit. Finely detailed, the Taur’ruk is armed with a two-handed axe and his body is adorned with grisly trophies. This model is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Friday 30th August.
"Behold the might of the Taur’ruk, behold his holy hunger. As iron is his flesh and fire is his blood, sacred of Hashut, render of bone, reaper of souls."

Looks great... but not 30 pounds great for me, unfortunately. I'll be using the regular FW bull centaurs as my Taur'Ruks, and converting other models for my basic bull centaurs.
Red Viper wrote:Upon further reflection, I think it's my favorite model out of their CD range... and I really like the rest, except for maybe the Bull Centaurs. However, the Bull Centaurs have grown on me after seeing the Tau'ruk. They look good next to each other.
My Christmas list grows...
Now if they just release the Destroyer, then my Christmas list will be complete.
I am going to try to hold the line, and convince myself that I will convert my normal BCs to look more like this... rather than having to get this model.
I purchased some really cheap centaurs to use as my units, and the FW ones to use as my Taur'Ruks. If I give in and get this model, all will be lost, as then I'll have to get at least one other unit of FW bull centaurs to go with it... over $130 there already, without shipping
But yeah, it is sweet!

I dont really play Fantasy anymore un(?)fortunately but how many of these guys would you need to field viably?
My friends has a CD army but at circa €36 a pop, would a small unit suffice or?

I've proxied a unit of 6 with great weapons and liked them.
I think 6 is a good number. If you include a Tau'ruk in the unit you could probably get away with less.
I plan on taking 5 with the Tau'ruk.

5 with a Taur'Ruk is quite good... But almost $220 to buy just that one unit if you use all FW models! That said, if they would release a great weapon version of the unit, it'd be tempting.

I just can't be worked up about this stuff. Why, oh why, can't someone at Forge World care about Bretonnians? Then I'd know that at least someone does. :/

Every time they release a new Chaos Dwarf unit it just makes me wish GWE would do them in plastic and mainstream them...

Well dang, my resolve lasted no time at all... ordered it . Looks like one of the best chaos dwarf models to date, so I couldn't resist! No more regular bull centaurs, though... those are just toooo pricey.
I actually plan to convert this into my siege giant, if I can find a suitable lower torso... he doesn't stand much taller than the regular FW bull centaurs, but even the little bit he does is going to make him absolutely tower over my counts-as models. So, I'll fit him in another way especially since the upper body is the part that I really like.

Their Chaos Dwarf line is just amazing! I can't wait to see the K'daai Destroyer.
