Crowe can't join other units. Also Purifiers are fearless so the one squad should not have broke.

I rolled twice on divination per tzeentch herald. I also got one roll from fateweaver on divination. The prince does not need divination as it doesn't really compliment what he does.

Good point. That would be another reason I haven't considered it. They can only take codex daemon powers of their mark or the following book disciplines: Telepathy, Biomancy, or Telekinesis.

4d6 from the squad. herald 3d6. herald 2d6. I guess it was 9d6. The base spell is 2d6. You can then boost it by 1d6 per warp charge. They are all level 3 psykers.

Ah ok, so it were three different shots. Makes sense again. Can't get over those Horrors, their average number of shots aren't even the number of Horrors. Incredible that you can make the make them work!

Yes but it can be quite low amount of shots, compared to their 3 shots pre 6th ed. I do love horrors though and have suprised quite a few people how effective they can be

You really got cheated hard in the last game. Any GK player knows Crowe cannot join other units. That really gave him a huge advantage.

Yea, my opponent didnt seem to versed on the book. He might of been new to his army. Either way its after the fact now. I suppose it was a real advantage as crowe shared a transport when he couldn't.

Why did the game against tau only last 3 turns? From the sounds of it he could have either tabled you or got his riptide over to your table side by turn 5 and took the win.

It was a slow set-up and slow turns. I only had 3 units. He was new to the army from what I could tell.

Why didn't the GK player just fire his mindstrike missiles at your Grimoire herald, insta-gibbing him and most of the pink horror squad with 2 automatic perils?

He was trying to kill the squad and chose the bolters over the missiles. Though I agree the missiles would of done more damage and possibly killed off the heralds.

If both missiles hit the herald, that is two perils on him. On a unit with Brotherhood of Sorc/Psyk, a Perils just hits one model; the squad leader if they have one, or randomized if not.

Good report! A number of rules mistakes and short games; sounds like a number of players who really didn't know their armies. I was going to say you're evaluating your army harshly, given the dice, but maybe not.

Any army that can soundly remove its player from the picture isn't an army that should be ran in a competitive environment. Dont get me wrong the army does okay. Its just I had much higher hopes for it.

Really? I thought every model which is a psyker takes an instant perils. In any case, he could have sniped out the Herald just as easily and force two perils on the squad, in addition to wounds from the missile itself.

The question is, does the Grimoire still function if the bearer dies?

Yes as it is on the squad, there is no stipulation that the bearer has to be alive when the saves are taken, just when the 'power' last until.

It is wargear but has a time of effect. Could see it argued either way.

But its not area of effect wargear, what other wargear would be comparable to it?

Thanks but the army isnt finished yet have a lot of work to finish on the daemonettes and the plague bearers.
