I'm being neither Naive or Obtuse thanks, so maybe you cut it out? If the guy makes 20-30% profit (merely an example), then it matters not if he gets wholesale prices or not. I'm more than aware forgeworld offer no wholesale prices to anyone. But the High Prices and Often ludicrous shipping they charge means people pay over the odds on forgeworld stuff outside of the UK, hell even inside the uk, quite frequently.
He's filling a need for Forgeworld parts, at sometimes cheaper prices than people that break the kits down on ebay and other sites do, I will state I've never used Resin Forge and not that likely to, BUT claming they're idiots for doing what they do, i.e offer a service for profit, and are recasters, without proof, just struck me as absurd is all.
I agree they've acted very poorly in regards to the OP, and his genuine complaints, and he's hopefully getting it all sorted now!?
Recasting is pretty endemic with resin kits. It's one reason (among several) that many resin kits will also include metal bits. The cost to dupe resin is pretty low, with a pretty high upside. It's unfair to legitimate resellers, but odds are that a person selling virtually any decent amount of resin, not bougth at wholesale, is recasting.
I've had hobby aquantinces on both sides of recasting: both as IP holders seeing others dupe their stuff, and as guys duping OOP stuff. It's just stupidly common.
Now, there's a long difference between personally suspecting something, and accusing them or reporting them. And for most consumers, recast stuff is basically just as good. But given what I know about bitz reselling, and the brutal inventory costs involved, the odds that somebody is just parting out kits for a modest profit seems... low.

leaving aside any recasting issues. but it cant be that strange that they are breaking down kits and selling parts as there are a number of other online companys that do the same . so there must be cash in it .

There's a huge difference between breaking down Games Workshop kits (which can be obtained at a discount from some distributors and the like) and breaking down Forge World kits (which are only available through Forge World at the Forge World prices...or by recasting your own).

As pointed out before, Resin Forge is avoiding the obvious giveaways of recasters like having multiple copies of limited edition models, or a huge number of resin bits, from many different models types, or having ridiculously low prices that would obviously leave them in the red if they'd bought from Forge World.
Which could just mean they're smart about it, but then again I would imagine that most of the heresy marines bits are popular enough to make it worth it.

Honestly, if it's =NAME REDACTED BY IMPERIAL MANDATE= the recasting issue is hardly important. If it is =NAME REDACTED BY IMPERIAL MANDATE= the issue is warning as many people as possible and hoping the OP gets satisfaction, if there is any to be had. My guess would be that if =NAME REDACTED BY IMPERIAL MANDATE= is involved the bits never existed in the first place.
Also, really? How does he keep cropping up? Is scamming gamers online really SO lucrative that he's this persistent?

I don't imagine it's so much that it is lucrative (although it surely plays a part), but rather that now he's just getting his jollies off of fleecing people who have been trying to "hunt" him down for doing this before.

Happy to report that there has been positive progress made.
Things have even started moving faster than what we had agreed upon, if things continue at this pace, everything will probably be solved this time next week.
The person I have been communicating with a been very helpful and has taken the time to call me with the update, something that has been very much appreciated.

Do let us know when it's actually resolved. Placation over email and telephone is one thing, getting all that you paid for is another. When you have reached full accord next week, please post and show us.

Thank you for that.
This took on a size I was that never was intended.
I will gladly post when it's all said and done.
I'd like this to be as accurate as I can do, so everyone can make their own judment, based on my facts for my experience. Things got way out of hand and I think things derailed ''dangerously''.
I'll also update the first post accordingly.

Damn, I feel sorry for ya OP for getting screwed in that way and not getting your parts for waiting that long. I would've keep up the claim and do the best you could to bring it to the courts (But that is my thought on it, I could be wrong).
Also, this might seem noobish (I have not been here that long) but who or what is this He-how-shall-not-be-named person? If all possible can you PM me about this? (Sorry If I come off as begging, but I kind of feel lost :/ ).

Major update!
Well, as planned, resin forge has payed me back my 2 orders that were lost in the mail.
No fuss, no stories, I was told I would get a complete refund by today, and that is exactly what I have received today.
I spoke to the owner, the one that was quite rude the first time we spoke, and he apologised for the way he previously spoke to me.
Once both parties had realised that this really was a screw-up from the postal services (I was the one that brought it to their attention, with proof) they, as a business, took the descision to repay me in full, as any good company should do.
I think that in itself deserves to be know, the way things happened, resin forge was never under any obligation to pay me back, but they decided to do so, in full, and they have kept their word.
On a side note, tommorow I will edit my first post with the complete story, as it is now finished.
Also, I would like it to be know that if usps ever get these 2 packages to me, I WILL pay for what I receive, I seriously doubt I'll ever get anything, but if I do, I will pay.
Resin forge has kept their word, and I think that says a lot about them. I will hapilly do the same for them.

To be honest, while it's nice that you got your refund, the behaviour over the phone was inexcusable for a business. You don't call a customer and accuse them of fraud unless you have damn good evidence of same... And even then it's not a good idea.
Stuff gets lost in the mail. A good business will not subject you to verbal abuse before refunding for that happening.

It is no surprise that you got it to be honest. It is too soon to just blow you off, and with everything going on it seems clear in my opinion that for some reason Mandelbaum is not willing to abandon this one just yet, perhaps too much invested, perhaps too much of his name on it too soon.
In any case, though it would not be fair to completely ignore that he made good with you and has a relatively clean track record as ResinForge, this in no way shape or form should dissuade any potential customer from looking into his history from first hand accounts of former customers very carefully.
Out of curiosity, you spoke to the same person every time right? Never a woman, never another guy, just the one? Daniel?

I spoke with 2, both men. Jason and Daniel.
Daniel (I believe, was the original owner that called me and wasnt very polite). From then on I spoke with Jason multiple times, he was always great and always ready to listen to what I had to say. Today, the final call was with Daniel. He apologized for the way he reacted when he originally called.
I liked the fact that he was the one calling to close it off, and not go into hide and avoiding what had happened.

You are probably lucky that, given everything that is going on, they couldn't afford to not handle this the right way as right now there is a huge spotlight on them and the way they handle their business. It is very likely they even made the extra effort especially for pr reasons.
So perhaps we could call this the second little victory caused by the people who issued the recent warnings: job well done
(the first being having proven without doubt that Voldebaum's name = RF)

I have to say... props to the OP. If I was spoken to and treated in the manner in which he describes I would not be so quick to forgive, or forget. But I guess the difference between him and I would be he got his money back and I likely wouldn't.
