Scotland, but nowhere near my rulebook

If I recall, Genator Lukas Anzion, he of the biology section in the 3rd Ed codex and possibly the Gorkamorka books reckoned that cannibalism was a high-energy food source for Orkoids, but at no point was the flesh edible for humans.

So it looks like while it may not be poisonous, you can't get any nutrients out of it.

So it'd be the perfect diet food for the weight concious guardsman then

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

Hahaha. Then it means the IOM ships around orks incase their guardsmen get fat and lazy.

Imperial commercial, showing a Space Marine and a Cadian guardsman eating an ork with the guardman playing a fiddle for mood while the Space Marine is rotating the ork on the BBQ while playing a harmonica. "Now food and exercise combined, battle the orks, then spit-roast one at the end of the battle....Yummy!"

If you have nothing nice to say then say frakking nothing.
