I love a G+T, personally. Not strictly a cocktail I suppose, but I had a really interesting variation of one at a bar called the Whiskey Jar in Manchester's Northern Quarter after work the other day. It was Gin, Apricot brandy, peach bitters, lemon and lime peel, with a bit Laphroaig sprayed into the glass with a little spritz bottle, for a smokey aftertaste (apparently). Tasted bloody nice, in any case...

My normal tipple is a good malt whisky, the more peat/iodine the better (so Talisker, Laphriog, Laugauvan etc)

but if I'm in the mood for cocktails nothing beats a Harvey Wallbanger (Vodka, Orange Juice & Galiano)

If you ever find yourself with a good strong cigar, smoke it while drinking a dram of Lagavulin... Trust me, it's fething awesome

I recently got ahold of a bottle of Highland Park's Valhalla Collection: Loki, and it's bloody brilliant, I think one of, if not my best scotch in my collection.

Wait, aren't you 14 or something? Also I've accidentally ordered girly drinks with little umbrellas and pretty colours, but it tasted good so that's all that matters (well I guess price and nutritional value is important too).
16.

And it was a joke. I really don't like alcohol all that much.

I light my cigarette with style.

On topic: Vodka martini, dirty, bleu cheese olives where I can get them, shaken, and I swear to god, if you don't strain out the ice, you're losing a couple bucks on the tip.

Oh, and light on the vermouth,

Garlic stuffed olives are nice as well. Frankly, anything is better then that little chunk of red stuff that's normally used. It brings nothing to the party (except color).

Cosmopolitans are my fruity-girly drink of choice. Real men drink pink cocktails.

Coming up with your own drinks is fun because you get to name them if they're good. One that some buddies and I made up:

1 part vodka, 1.5 parts gin, 2 parts San Pellegrino Limonata, garnished with a chunk of red grapefruit. Preferably in a proper cocktail glass, but it does the job no matter what you drink it out of.

It's very tasty and deviously easy to drink in rapid succession. It was christened "The Tabler" (no relation to the wargaming term, I'm afraid) the night we came up with it after one of my buddies walked into the kitchen table, and having had more than his fair share of the concoction, was carried forward onto the table by his own momentum and remained thus until we transferred him to the sofa.

Although I hardly ever drink (I abhor the taste of alcohol) this is my drink of choice. But it's a doozy, because you can't even taste the alcohol in it, so it'll really sneak up on ya.

Number 1 for me is good ole Rum and Coke, hard to beat the classics.

I also oddly like Gin and Tonics even though I'm not an old, disgruntled, working-class Englishman.

And of course White Russians, though whenever I have one I find myself wishing I just had a regular coffee instead.

Also I think I'm going to steal that Dirty Pirate from you...wow that sounded wrong on so many levels.

O-Bombs are good (Bacardi O and energy drink). Jagerbombs, and Liquid cocaines are good.

That's funny...my doctor flipped me the inverse prescription.

Stiff Manhattan - 3 oz bourbon 1 oz vermouth, 3 dashes of bitters and a cherry.

Or an Old Fashioned - I use orange rind exclusively, no bitters. 1 muddled orange rind, 1 sugar cube in 3 oz whiskey, remove the rind then add ice, an orange slice, and top with 2 oz club soda and a couple of cherries.

How do you make a readheaded slut? Biased on my experience, 12 bottles of alcopop, 10 marlboro lights and paying for nightclub entry... Worked on my wife when she used to drink

Anyway, cocktails. I don't think I have a favorite. Booze and mixer don't count. A cocktail needs at lease three ingredients.

Anything with an energy drink in is just a way to get wasted.

I used to like things with lots of fruit in. Now I like something long, prefrably gin or whiskey based and not to sweet. However, given the right timing I have been known to drink lurid drinks in silly glasses.

port and brandy - Not really a cocktail but bloody brilliant for a long slow walk to snoozeville.

As a lad me and my mates used to mix nightnurse and Vodka. That was a stonking good drink but looking back on it, what a fething idiot!

I am also a sucker for a decent Bellini. I got hooked on them when me and the future Mrs B holidayed in Florence. Drinking one reminds me of good times there.
