I would like to throw in Feldherr cases into the mix. I have never used them, but my friends do, and they all say they are great.

I know there's a lot of fanboyism for Battlefoam. And that's cool. But I'll at least throw in a suggestion for Sabol bags. I have 3 of them, and they're great. They make a good product that is durable and won't break your bank like Battlefoam will. Plus, you aren't locked into some proprietary foam that only fits Battlefoam cases. I use Sabol for cases, and use Blufoam for its superior glue inside the case.

Battlefoam looks nice, don't get me wrong, but I can have 2 Sabol packs for the price of one Battlefoam.

I have some Portable Warfare bags w/ Blufoam (same size as Sabol) and it works well. The issue I'm having is it's just not practical with a high number of large models. There's not enough height in a single bag.

I also had to make some compromises by magnetizing features to save space that I could otherwise just glue in (main offender: Trygon Scything Talons). I'm learning that magnetizing to switch options is great, but magnetizing to fit easier is just not worth it.

With Tyranids, Eldar (upcoming MC), and ally Tau (Riptide) I'm looking at a big chunk of space there. I'm debating adding Battlefoam and reserving it for the larger models, then using my existing Portable Warfare for the infantry that doesn't require a foam tray that takes up half the space of a bag.

I always recommend KR cases as they do the job and are cheap as chips. I do declare bias as I have 7-8 at this point. That said I will say that their site can be a bit confusing so have spent a couple of minutes having a quick/rough look and I reckon the OP could get all of the models he lists in 4 KR card multicases.

2x IG Set B - each holds Valk/Vebdetta, flight stand and 4 x LR/Chimera + 20 troops
1x IG Set E - Baneblade/Shadowsword, 2x LR/Chimera + 50 troops
1x IG Set F - 2 Basilisk/Manticore, 2x LR/Chimera + 50 troops.

Each of these is available in the UK for £32.99 delivered.

KR also sell a bag and aluminium Quad cases that will hold all of this. I didn't work out the cost for this but would expect it to add another £30-40 to the cost of the card/foam.

Could I get links to the KR and Sabol sites, before I make a final decision on the battle foam I would like to browse on other options, and thanks notprop for looking into what I need.

KR Multicase
Sabol

Also, Portable Warfare. I always dug their bags, but it's far too small for my Tyranid collection. Your Necrons might just fit, but it's all pluck foam, so it won't be as space efficient.

The best thing to do with KR is email them your miniature list. To say their website was designed by an illiterate spastic monkey is an understatement. Send them your model list and they'll get back to you with what tray and case options best fit.

I like Romeo and Kyle so I bought battle foam lol... still waiting for it to arrive though!! I really wish I came here first before ordering as I am pretty paranoid that I have stuffed up the depths on my custom trays! *crosses fingers*

There bags seem to be better equipped for removing the trays and carrying all the extra crap we need to games.

Most trays don't actually have variable depths. Also, on the trays I've gotten that had variable depths, I ordered 2 at 1.5" for my Hormagautns and 2 at 1" for my Termagants, then immediately regretted only getting 1" trays for them. When they turned up, it's like BF read my mind, they shipped me 1.5" Termagant trays.

Good to see they had some foresight into what you require instead of just going with the nominated thickness.

I have ordered a 720 Pack with
3.5" foam for the 2 x Scythes
4.5" for 8 x wraiths, 1 x Destroyer lord and 3 x Annihilation barges
and a 2" tray for warriors, lords and scarabs

I have a fair amount more Necron's but I want to see how this all goes first before ordering anything else.
