Wyrd is pre-releasing three games at Gen Con.
Showdown: Icons
A fast-paced card dueling game in which two players battle each other to win. Each deck in Showdown: Icons can be played against any other Showdown deck. Showdown: Icons features rough and hardened characters from the world of the Icons, including: Queen of Hearts, King of Clubs, and Ace of Spades. Includes 5 plastic card decks.
Kings of Artifice
Players are immersed into the world of Artifice where they must forge buildings and score Victory Points. With Event cards, Spell cards, strategy, and structures, the game changes with each play! Cast spells, vanquish foes, and create an unparalleled kingdom to dominate the realm.
This classic euro-style game for 2-4 players uses wooden blocks to create structures and focuses on strategy as the key to win - focus on your kingdom, hinder your opponent's progress, or take advantage of each game's unique characteristics (Spells and Events). Game by Jonathan Pac Cantin. Illustrated by Miguel Coimbra.
The World Needs a Jetpack Unicorn
Really, who could disagree with that? The comedic possibilities are endless as players respond to questions that fuel impromptu stories. The goal is to convince your friends (using Transmog cards) that your story is best. Mind-bending art from Melvin de Voor.
Chronicles #7
Issue #7 of the Wyrd Chronicles is now available with new articles and stories.
Sample the rules for Tara, the Herald of Obliteration, Wyrd's Gen Con 2013 limited edition Nightmare model.

I'm thoroughly disappointed that they are delaying Through the Breach, and not notifying the kickstarter backers until after it was to have shipped.
( I understand why they did it - they chose to make M2E their big thing this year, taking up all their attention, but it means abandoning their commitment to kickstarter)
Wyrd was one of the companies whose kickstarter I expected to go out on time.
They hired Mack just to do it and then moved him onto their other project, a somewhat poorly recieved reboot.
The beta testing for M2E is continuing all the way through at least Jan of next year.
When are they going to get around to finishing through the breach?

This was on July 3rd about a half out after updated #38 went out. Nothing has been said, and like EBO last year I was hoping to pick up my Through the Breach books at GenCon. I think what I'm mostly disappointed about is that Jetpack Unicorn will be available at GenCon, but Through the Breach won't be Jetpac Unicorn has been done for like 3 weeks and is ready for release (or at least pre-release). Also the 2nd edition isn't poorly received, look through this thread most of the posters that are posting here like the changes to 2nd edition... There is a vocal minority (as there always is).

I hadn't seen Mack's post before I wrote, I only knew that the main Wyrd forum, until the last few days, still said that the books would be available at Gencon.
Sept is fine, as that's the actual ship date from the Kickstarter.
I tried to qualify M2E with "somewhat" poorly. I think it's quite good and my gaming group is switching over.

Mack's post was buried in the Through the Breach playtest forums on bad-things-happen.com. I'm not expecting them to ship out in September :-\. I know how Wyrd gets during post GenCon insanity. So after GenCon, Wyrd will be inundated with GenCon web orders, the shipping staff (bless their hearts) will work around the clock till like October to get everything ordered during GenCon while getting new releases ready, getting minor orders made after GenCon, and FLGS/distributor re-stocks. I pray for September, but I'm thinking November... Every edition is going to be met with people that don't like the changes. I don't like the upgrades, the changes to soulstones, the balancing of master vs master, and the changes to the jokers. That's on the surface. I don't like some of the changes to my favorite masters but I knew that was going to happen when they announced it (admittedly Pandora was on of the worst masters to face and I love playing her). I liked that Malifaux was balanced on a faction to faction basis because it meant that if I was facing arcanists, I could look at my Neverborn and think, "well I don't want Chompy because of x, y, and z, so instead I'll take Lillith for reasons a, b, and c" While my opponent is thinking the same thing. A master to master balance is better for people with smaller collections and new players since they don't have to worry about having a master that is just screwed when playing their local meta and they get discouraged, but it means I play a master for flavor instead of how they might perform against a certain faction. I do love the rumored changes I heard to Avatars, the advancement of the storyline, and Gremlins becoming their own faction, and as always the art. *shrugs* They got me hooked on plenty of things, but not the important things for a tabletop skirmish game, which is why I'm hoping I really love Through the Breach since it has those things and I don't have to worry about the model changes.

While I too was hoping to see TtB sooner rather than later, the bolded remains to be seen, and if they stick to their word, is patently untrue. The delivery date on the KS campaign site is Sept, so unless they give us an update over a month and a half after Gencon, there's plenty of time before it would be "after it was to have shipped".
Not trying to be antagonistic, but we're nearly two months away from the initially projected delivery date, there's still time yet. While obviously there's an ongoing trend of successful campaigns delivering late, let's not start proclaiming lateness well before it's actually late.
I'm not sure how common this is with other companies, but for example, when Wyrd says that a model will be out in "August", it generally hits stores a few days before the end of the month, and my general approach is that when someone isn't willing to give anything more specific than a month for delivery of something, to assume the end of the month and be pleasantly surprised if it shows up earlier than the literal last day.

My only concern about the September shipping date is that Justin has said that the M2E rulebooks get shipped off to the printers in mid-July to get there in time for GenCon, now I'm not assuming that the M2E Books are waiting at the convention center for Wyrd when they show up on Tuesday/Wednesday for set up, but that means it's 2 to 3 weeks for it to get to the Printer, printed, and shipped back to Wyrd. At that point every other backer reward probably needs to be in the warehouse ready to go so the warehouse crew can start packing for shipment immediately. So 3 weeks from (let's say the Wednesday after GenCon Aug 21st) is September 11th. At that point there are 19 days left in September to start shipping. Will Wyrd spend their time with the smallest packages first and move to the big ones? But EBO, an arguably easier reward structure to fulfill took them a month from update 22 that said, "hey most things have been shipped" to update 23 that said, "Everything has been shipped!"

You are correct about this - I'd misremembered the date as August rather than sept, since the books were going to be available initially at Gencon. Apologies.
I am still worried about the shipping date since things like the Hannah miniature would probably have been available at Gencon if they are going to be ready in Sept. Plus the ongoing M2E beta testing.

Of course it's good, always plan for delays . I didn't figure that you guys would leave such a thing so close to the deadline after the Misaki box fiasco last GenCon. But my time table still stands, most of us probably won't be seeing our stuff till October or later. Also have I missed an email about Hannah, the plastic fate deck, the minis? I've heard next to nothing beyond the few emails we've gotten since the end of the campaign. While I was happy with the minis that came in EBO, I wasn't too impressed with the EBO Fate Deck or the Plushie. I would like to see any preview of the stuff that I can so I can feel safe about my investment .

Oh, I'm certainly not expecting everyone to get their TtB KS backer package by Sept 30th, but until we're told otherwise, I hope they're at least starting to send them out by then.
Now, between Gencon, recuperating from Gencon, recuperating from the plague they always seem to bring back from Gencon, and mailing out hundreds of Gencon online orders, I'm sure the warehouse will be staging a mutiny once they're asked to follow up with 1500+ KS backer kits (though luckily they come in only 4 distinct flavours, rather than the infinite variety possible with store orders), but if they start shipping off in Sept at some point and most of them are out/in hand in Sept/Oct, I wouldn't consider it a problem.
Yes, yes, aside from the standard 'omg add 6 months to any KS release date', given that this was all sorted out 7 months ago, I remain cautiously optimistic that the figures have been pressed, the books are nearing completion, and that we get everything in a timely fashion.
