Hmmmm, thats a nice achievement but are you sure they were Gundams? Maybe you obliterated a Mercurius and Vayeate with a mobile doll system installed!?

Seriously though, the Riptides are crazy powerful so bringing down 2 with one shot is indeed worthy of a battle report!

I can imagine the poor Tau player crying a corner. That one was nasty, mate.

I am a Tau player and when I read that I teared up a bit. I couldn't even imagine loosing two riptides like that.

Grats, unfortunately the Tau players in my neck of the woods are too poor to buy one, I want to see what all the fuss is about.

As a Tau Player I can say serves him freakin right for lining his riptides up in such a way that you could get the line for your jaws. Riptides should never be together like that. They should be flanking and harassing, drawing fire while the squishy stuff achieves its objectives. Hell you can tell they're supposed to operate separately because you can't squad them.

I'm curious...Did the RP drop pod in to get the shot off? Which weapons and upgrades did the riptides have?

If it was a drop pod attack, someone should tell the tau player to try the ion accelerator with early warning override so he could have dropped S8 ap2 large blasts from each riptide over the priest before it got to shoot....and also not to keep 2 riptides that close to each other...

You draw LOS from the eyes and that model is huge, also jaws doesn't need to necessarily even see the RT to clip it off another target. Basically this is a nightmare match up for those things. Also BS3 blast is not that reliable but your right, he could have tried to mitigate things.

1. Whats a JAWS?

2. Immpressive achievement, 2 Riptides in one shot, don't think I've ever killed two vehicles in one shot, bikes not counting.

3. Who was idiot enough to have 2 Riptides that close together no matter what a JAWS is? Should be on either side of the board.

4. Oh and I'm a Tau Player, playtested the Riptide against several different armies and I have to say, they aren't that impressive ... no really, they're not.
