Everyone is missing the important (AMAZING) message written here: if the leaked list was correct, and MM is shown to be coming too, that probably means the second list is legit too: we get MM and Red Hood! I'm not including Joker in a RH outfit, and I'm hoping NRS isn't either-we want Jason Todd. Also means Zatanna (or Power Girl, but hopefully Zatanna). Sadly, also means Sub Zero...but we'll deal. I think.

Scorpion is on the logo for Netherrealm Studios. He makes far more sense.

"Sadly" because it means the spot is being taken away from a DC character. Don't get me wrong, I love Mortal Kombat, been playing it since I had to sneak out of the house to play the 1st one at a friend's house (I was 9), then again when I was 12 to play the second. But I don't feel that Sub-Zero or Scorpion belong. There is no legit way to bring them in, only gimmicky ways so NR can bring in their poster boys. And I've only played UMK3, not the original version, H, so this is my breakdown: MK1-yes, MK2-yes, MK3.1-no (but appears in MK3.2, so switches to a yes), Trilogy-yes, MK4-yes, Special Forces-yes, DA-yes, Deception-yes, Armageddon-yes, MK9-yes, Shaolin Monks-yes, MKvsDC-yes, and now Injustice-yes. Leaving him out of one of two versions of the third game...semantics? Lol. Yes, he's been every MK game, just not one version of the third-he made it into the "final" version. I also left out MK gold...but wasn't that just the redheaded stepchild of MK 4? As for Sub-Zero, two different people, so one has been in the first two, new Sub-Zero in all others-same name, different guy. (this discussion includes your point towards me on the first page )

Yes, actually he IS a good guy: he's only after Sub Zero because he believes Sub Zero murdered his family (was actually Quan Chi, manipulating Scorpion). He's out to avenge his family, but he's actually a noble ninja, he just allows his emotions to rule him. I hope that stays up until tomorrow too, so I can download it at home.

I just tried it and it didn't work, unless I did something incorrectly. They may have fixed it already.

While I do like Scorpion, I agree that I feel it may have been better if they actually included a new DC character. Kind of sucks to buy the Season Pass and have Scorpion instead of a DC character. Now if he was free, I wouldn't complain but I wouldn't want to spend points on him.

I tried it last night, downloaded it, and he showed up as available, yet the only way you can get him is if you have the season pass and download him while in game: you cannot download him as normal from the Xbox marketplace. He actually plays better than he ever has, in my opinion.

Fair warning: Microsoft can and will ban users who use exploitative methods to get DLC before it is meant to be available.

Well, to be fair-they MADE it available-if you have the Season Pass and have downloaded their Doomsday update, you have access to Scorpion-that's not really an exploitive method...it's just getting him through legal ways that anyone who didn't get the season pass doesn't have access to yet. If they expect to put his silhouette up, give me the option to DL him, then tell me I'm not allowed because they screwed up and made him available through the SP before he was supposed to...not my fault.

So, first thing's first:
When originally I had seen this statement, it was not actually yet stated but they wanted to get Scorpion out early and make people feel the Season Pass was 'worth it'. Season Pass holders got him earlier, without having to actually download him.

Second: General Zod has been announced.

Bummer...I thought I got away with something special thanks to Kenshin. And yeah, saw Zod-kinda looking forward to trying him out. I guess that means the guy who called the lineup and said MM, Red Hood, Zatanna (or Power Girl) and Sub Zero are in is probably correct. Although Ed Boon supposedly said no Sub Zero...so maybe he ended up getting cut? As long as I get Jason Todd/Red Hood and he has the same attitude as he does in Batman: UtRH, I'll have a fangasm. I've had to supplement Joker in his RH uniform.

If Sub Zero is cut, it likely is because of the reaction from the fanbase.

It's Injustice: Gods Among Us; not Injustice: DC v. Mortal Kombat II.

I have no problems with them adding him as a standalone character or as part of a Mortal Kombat DLC pack, but not as part of the Injustice Season Pass which should have been reserved for DC characters only.

I want to play this game but I think I can wait until the all-DLC-included edition comes out.

Honestly, I don't see why they can't have one character who caters to their own fans who might be excited at another Netherrealms fighting game but not that invested in the DC characters. The people who bought the season pass are paying just as much as they would have if they had decided they didn't want Scorpion, so there's no damage there.

While that is true, we were promised 4 fighters for the price of 3-what happens when one of those fighters is from another game, when this is the first real attempt at a DC fighting game (discounting MK vs DC which had no DLC and not a huge roster). Most of us wanted, and expected, a DC-only roster, and were disappointed that our money was spent getting a character who had no business being in the game. That said, I have downloaded Scorpion, tried him out, and he plays far better than he ever has in MK. Do I like the way he plays? Absolutely. Do I feel he should be in the game? No way in hell.

I guess your bellyaching was relevant right up until you didn't know that mortal kombat has a comic book which invalidates it.

On the list of things that really matter, this is somewhere towards the bottom. They're DLC characters. The world will keep spinning no matter the order they come out in. No matter what we're all still being screwed by their existence.

First of the new DLC characters is going to be shown this weekend, in a gameplay video.

I've heard rumblings that it might be "Red Arrow" so fingers crossed.

I thought Martian Manhunter, Red Hood, Power Girl (or Zatanna) and Sub Zero were next in line? Or did SZ get shifted after the backlash from Scorpion? How would Roy be any different from Ollie though? Why not just give him a RA alternate skin? The only real differences (from my limited sight) is their costume color, age, and attitude.

Bear in mind there has been talk of a 'Tag Team' mode, which the next batch of DLC characters is supposed to play into.

A rumored listing I have heard is Red Arrow, Power Girl, Robin(Tim Drake), and Sub Zero with each character from the game(basic and DLC) having a 'partner' that gives them a tag team superpower.

Matchings I have heard:
Sub Zero and Scorpion (Duh)
Batgirl and Nightwing
Power Girl and Wonder Woman
Robin and Red Arrow
Batman and Superman
Green Arrow and Green Lantern
Ares and Hawkgirl



Roy Harper early on is not too far from Oliver, but as time wore on he got much darker.

When did Martian Manhunter get shown? Like actually shown with gameplay footage, etc by Netherrealms?
Ed Boon posted on Twitter that we get gameplay footage this weekend so we shall see.

I'd be psyched to see martian manhunter given a bit more attention.

The only times he seems to get any attention are in the DCAU...

If the Manhunter is confirmed, would he go the way of a "Shang Tsung" shapeshifter type fighting style?

Putting it politely:

I would hold NO stock whatsoever in the leaked lists. Nether Realms has no clue what the hell they are doing in releasing characters and conflicting reports are coming from all levels of the company in regards to what is happening.

Some parts are saying that "there is no Season Pass #2 and only individual characters are being released" while others are saying that "There is a second season pass and then individual, less popular characters being released as well".
