Um... the recording said that Kim was not Daniel's ex-wife, but looking at the memorial site for Dan's mom, there is a post from a Stephanie Hernandez (same spelling as the name in the PayPal claim) who mentions the union between her and Daniel as a young couple. Um... so she's not lying? She's not Daniel's ex-wife she's his current wife?

Stephanie tends to go by Stephanie everywhere else, only for rf was she suddenly Kim. Only through the PayPal was her real name discovered, to this point all that has been said is 'Kim is short for Stephanie', not a middle name lol.

At the absolute minimum there are huge lies happening about the relationship of Mandelbaum to rf. if it is his current wife, he walked away from the company by going into the next room for a few minutes lol. Our info indicates she is his ex wife though, going back a few years.

I still have a gut feeling though judging by the behavior of 'Kim' that she is likely a Mandelbaum alias and he is just using her info like he did his mothers. Can't prove it, but it is fishy as all hell at the least.

The only thing for sure is RFs continued dishonesty and weird behavior.

I'm no good at the making these into screen shots thing - but I thought people would like to see.

All this instead of just posting their registration number.

It is also common practice for "legit" companies to suspend sales due to it "not being worth it" when confronted with a PR problem.

So now we wait till he resurfaces, not the hero the hobby community wants but the hero they deserve.

I somehow doubt that RF is the victim here.... If only because the single known owner has done people dirty with previous business not once, not twice, but three times.

I'd imagine Daniel Mandelbondsley already has the next site registered and is buying facebook likes as we speak. It's like a game of deranged whack a mole.

Once again, they feel that need to state that someone has won or lost, like it's some sort of war.

There was never any need for an escalation or confrontation, just being upfront when it was first brought to light would have been enough, imo.

I love how they continue to pretend he was just some stranger they barely knew and that it would be even possible for him to be uninvolved lol.

Well... good riddance. They produced evidence no one asked for (that didn't hold up on top of it) and none of the stuff that would have actually helped clear some things up. My guess because they couldn't at all.

Daniel. I told you this last time, and I'll tell you again. We will be watching for you, always. You will never be welcome in this community after all you have done, not as a business. Find some other, honest way to make a living in a field your reputation isn't nuked to shreds.

However, you do incredible, inspiring work. I hope, that you will continue to share it as simply a hobby, and do so with transparancy. If you do that, and stay on the straight and narrow for a long, long time, people may begin to forgive you for what you have done.

If not though, we will be watching.


To everyone else: Guys, RF did not get to the stage where they would have typically started ripping people off under the Mandelbaum plan... That is something to be proud of. There are a lot of people out there, friends and kids alike, who were saved a great deal of aggravation thanks to your care for the community and sense of right and wrong. I thank all of you, not for being against Mandelbaum, but for being FOR what is right.

I think faced with the proposition of actually having to provide a LLC registration ID (in accordance with TX State law), and all the talk about contacting the State AG a couple dozen pages back, the RF owners realized continuing on their current glidepath could have resulted in bad legal juju if they didnt step lightly.

Regardless, I'm extremely grateful to the hard work by many of the community members in revealing DM's involvement with this company. I am a frequent bitz buyer, and had actually perused RF's site one or two times before this thread popped up. I'm sure you guys saved me and my brother days of frustration and monetary loss!!!

And so it ends...for now. But we will stay vigilant as the first line of defence against any further ridiculous "shenanigans" that he may bring in the future. Maybe he'll start selling the new Kickstarter Flying Assault Butts and only give a single buttcheek as part of his new scheme? Find out next time on another riveting episode of Mandelbaum Z!

Although people are bending over to give them the benefit of the doubt, are we of the mind that it was a one man show by Daniel Mandelbaum, and that Kim and Jason were just identities or were only involved on the periphery? I see no reason to think he wasn't just running it on his own apart from perhaps minimal cooperation from others. Such as when he got his mum to be photographed for Dakka and claim they weren't related

Given that the voicemail was clearly scripted, I'd say he's running it alone, and either hired someone or got a friend to leave the message with a woman's voice.

He will be setting up the next 'business venture' now.


It's been interesting to watch, each time folks on dakka and elsewhere have exposed more layers of his elaborate system of alias and evasion. If he is stupid or greedy enough to try this again, and judging by his responses and persistence with this I'd say that's a good chance, he's drifting further and further into open ground and soon enough, he'll either rip off the wrong guy or certain parties will have him bang to rights legally.

Either suits my sense of justice really.

There never were 3 people involved, there was only ever Mandelbonder. Much like the abuse he hurled on his mother's good name, he's now tarnished the name of his wife/ex-wife.

I find it alternatingly scary, funny, sad and disappointing that he did his best to maintain the illusion right up until the point that he F*ed up and shared the PayPal information with AduroT that showed the name the PayPal account was actually under. He forgot to alter the name, and got busted. Dakka noticed it and he was busted.
Only AFTER that point did he throw in the towel. He knew the jig was up.

I think the whole "trying to find a lawyer" thing was just stalling while he tried to find a way to game the system or put "realistic" looking misleading information out to us.

I also like how they think that calling me is the same as them posting here. I'm not Dakka. I'm just a user here. I am in no way an official representative of this site, nor am I its ambassador on other sites.

I posted the voicemail exactly as I got it, when I got it.

In all the comments on their page they still ignore people mentioning tax credentials or business registration.

I also like the part where they keep putting quotation marks when referring to Daniels prior history of fraudulent behavior which we've proven hand over fist in this thread as well as in the last.

This whole thread was the funnest read on dakka ever, and now it's over... until he makes his next new biz.
